In the first week of December 2025, the atmosphere at Tan Vu Port Branch (Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company) became bustling and excited when the 1 million TEU container was officially approved. This meaningful milestone marked the 5th consecutive year that Tan Vu Port maintained an output exceeding the "million TEU" mark, continuing to affirm its role as one of the key container exploitation hubs in the Northern region.

In the context of the maritime transport market still being affected by many fluctuations, increasingly fierce competition, especially the trend of shifting cargo flows to the Lach Huyen deep-water port area, the impressive results of Tan Vu Port further demonstrate the outstanding efforts of the staff. With the spirit of initiative, innovation and solidarity, the unit has continuously optimized the exploitation process, improved service quality, ensured safety, productivity and reputation with shipping lines, cargo owners, domestic and international partners.

In 2025, the cargo throughput through Tan Vu Port will increase by nearly 10% compared to 2024, expected to reach about 1.1 million TEUs by the end of the year. This result not only affirms the stable and sustainable growth momentum of the unit but also makes an important contribution to the overall achievements of Hai Phong Port. The success of Tan Vu Port, along with the effective operation of Lach Huyen berths 3 and 4, has significantly contributed to making Hai Phong Port the first and only port in the North to reach the milestone of 2 million TEUs throughput in a year.
