On June 13, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police said that the working group of Phu Loc Traffic Police Station (Traffic Police Department of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police) had just supported a young man in special circumstances to return to his hometown in Nghe An .

At 10:00 a.m. on June 13, a working group led by Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Minh Tuan and three soldiers, Tran Ngoc Lam, Nguyen Minh Tien, and Cao Ba Tuan, patrolled National Highway 1 from km842+500 to km904+800. When the working group stopped at km859, a young man came in to ask for water.

Through investigation, the young man was Ta Huu Quyet (born in 2006, residing in Hamlet 3, Vien Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh District, Nghe An). In April 2024, Quyet went to Ho Chi Minh City to find a job and was introduced to work at a food company in Long An . However, after working for 2 months without being paid, on June 12, Quyet took a bus back to Nghe An.

When arriving at Phu Loc district (Thua Thien Hue ), because he did not have money to pay the driver, Quyet was kicked off the bus. After walking 5-7km, he was hungry and tired so he stopped at the working group to ask for water.

After a quick verification at Vien Thanh Commune Police, Yen Thanh District, and seeing that Quyet's identity was correct, the working group arranged for Quyet to eat, provide him with money, and take him by bus home.

In the thank you letter, Quyet wrote: "When arriving at Thua Thien Hue province, Phu Loc district, because I did not have money to continue paying the driver, I was kicked off by the driver.

At that time, I got off and walked about 5-7km, feeling very tired and hungry, so I stopped by the traffic police team on duty on the road to ask for a drink. After the traffic police learned about my background and the difficult and arduous journey, they invited me to a delicious bowl of Hue noodles and took me to my hometown.
