People magazine has just released a video and detailed police report regarding Britney Spears' arrest in Ventura County, California, in March. The document shows that the 44-year-old "pop princess" exhibited signs of mental instability, erratic behavior, and repeatedly spoke strangely to police officers.

Specifically, when asked to pull over on March 4th, the "Toxic" singer claimed she had only drunk one glass of mimosa six hours prior and rated her level of intoxication as 0/10.

"I could even drink four bottles of wine and still take good care of you guys. I'm an angel," the singer told the police.

Britney's breath alcohol test results showed a concentration of 0.05% and 0.06%, below the legal limit of 0.08% in California. However, professional assessment indicated she was under the influence of a central nervous system stimulant.

Police found a bottle of Adderall (a medication for ADHD/depression) that wasn't registered in her name in her handbag. Britney admitted to taking 200 mg of Lamictal (a medication for bipolar disorder and epilepsy) to control her mood swings and using Adderall to maintain a euphoric state. In her memoir , The Woman in Me (2023), the singer admitted that Adderall was her "favorite medication" that helped her cope with depression since the 2000s.

The report noted that throughout the working process, Britney constantly switched to speaking with an English accent, changing "from confrontational and aggressive to cheerful and well-behaved."

She even invited the police officers to her home for dinner: "You can come to my house, I'll cook lasagna or whatever you want. I have a swimming pool." However, as soon as she was handcuffed and put in the back seat of the patrol car, she burst into tears and accused the officers of being "cruel" and "deceitful."

On May 4th, Britney Spears officially pleaded guilty to reckless driving in a case related to DUI (driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs). Under the plea agreement, the singer will not have to serve a prison sentence, but will instead receive 12 months of probation.

At the hearing in Ventura County Superior Court, attorney Michael A. Goldstein represented Spears in making a guilty plea.

According to the ruling, Spears must complete a three-month substance abuse treatment program, pay a $571 fine, and comply with supervisory conditions. She was also sentenced to one day in jail, but this was deducted from her previous detention.

The singer's lawyer, Mr. Goldstein, stated after the trial: "Britney has taken responsibility for her actions and is taking positive steps to change. She is very grateful for the leniency of the law and the support from her fans."
