This is considered one of the outstanding activities in supporting women in economic development in the locality, actively contributing to the goal of building new rural areas and increasing people's income.
Of the total capital, the Women's Union of Dong Khe commune coordinated with the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank to lend over 26.5 billion VND to 313 member households to invest in livestock and crop farming and develop household economic models.
In addition, from the Women's Development Support Fund of the Provincial Women's Union, 17 members were able to borrow an additional VND1.29 billion to expand production and business activities. The Union also effectively maintained savings fund models, supporting more than 10 members in difficult circumstances with interest-free loans of over VND100 million, helping them overcome the initial period of capital shortage.
According to Cao Bang Newspaper, in addition to financial support, the Women's Union of Dong Khe commune also strongly implemented activities to accompany its members, such as the movement of women helping each other with 550 laborers in planting corn, rice, star anise, cinnamon, fat, and acacia; organizing training courses on applying scientific and technical advances; sending members to participate in training on production and business planning and writing proposals for start-up ideas suitable to local conditions.
These activities not only provide necessary knowledge but also create an environment for sharing experiences, helping members become more confident in economic development.
Thanks to practical and synchronous support, many economic models led by women in Dong Khe commune have developed effectively, especially in the fields of livestock and poultry farming, cultivation and production of OCOP products such as black jelly, organic tea, fragrant squash, green-skinned grapefruit, and star anise.
The results achieved not only help members escape poverty according to multidimensional criteria but also aim to become rich legitimately, contributing to building a dynamic, independent and creative women's community in Cao Bang.
