In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Dong Trung, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Cultural Diplomacy - Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: The knowledge update conference is of great significance in the context of the consolidation of administrative boundaries, the expansion of local areas, the increasing number of international cooperation activities, and the increasing diversity and richness of information on foreign affairs. The conference aims to maintain and improve the quality, qualifications, and capacity of the team of civil servants and public employees working in local foreign affairs, ensuring that this team is increasingly professional and meets the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Tran Song Tung, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, expressed his pleasure when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs chose Ninh Binh province as the location to organize the Foreign Affairs Knowledge and Professional Update Class. Briefly introducing the socio -economic development situation of Ninh Binh province after the merger, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that Ninh Binh has now expanded international cooperation relations with 15 localities in 7 countries, spread across 4 geographical regions including: Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa; at the same time, it is promoting the establishment of relations with 02 new localities in the Republic of Austria and Greece. The province's international cooperation partners are diverse in geography, fields and forms, creating a foundation for implementing exchange and substantive cooperation activities in many fields, contributing to promoting the synchronization of Party foreign affairs, State diplomacy and people's diplomacy, promoting the image of the province, aiming at the goal of sustainable, comprehensive development and deep integration, creating a driving force for strong development and breakthroughs in the coming time. The conference on updating knowledge and foreign affairs in Ninh Binh province is an opportunity for agencies and units to update knowledge, exchange and share valuable experiences and lessons in foreign affairs, thereby finding new directions and creative solutions to improve the effectiveness of local foreign affairs activities after the merger.

He hoped that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, ministries, branches and localities would continue to support and cooperate with Ninh Binh province in the province's diplomatic programs and activities in the future.

These are necessary topics to ensure professionalism in the implementation and handling of work for the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees working in foreign affairs in the localities.
