(Dan Tri) -FPT Education recently announced a strict ban on staff and lecturers giving Tet gifts to superiors, but not vice versa.
Every time Tet comes, the story of giving Tet gifts to superiors becomes a topic that attracts attention. However, at FPT Education , all pressure of giving gifts is dismissed with the announcement: "It is strictly forbidden for staff and lecturers to give Tet gifts to superiors, but not forbidden to give them back."
This announcement not only relieves concerns about gift giving but also demonstrates the spirit of fairness and transparency that has become a typical culture of FPT Corporation.
According to the education sector's representative, the announcement was issued to help people celebrate Tet in comfort and joy.
With this announcement, lecturers and staff do not have to worry about "hesitating between big and small gifts" or chasing after valuable gifts. This tradition not only demonstrates a youthful, fair, and transparent mindset, but also maintains a sincere and open working culture within the organization.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Trang, lecturer at FPT PolySchool Hanoi , FPT Corporation, shared: "I just started teaching at FPT education, so I was a bit worried about whether I had to give gifts to my superiors this Tet. Unexpectedly, this morning I received an email from the school announcing the ban on giving Tet gifts. I found this announcement very reasonable, so I don't have to worry about anything anymore, and can enjoy a happy Tet holiday with peace of mind."

While the regulation prohibiting giving Tet gifts to superiors is strictly enforced, not prohibiting giving gifts from leaders to employees is a meaningful way to acknowledge. This not only makes Tet more meaningful but also spreads the spirit of respect and closeness within the organization.
Mr. Thai Thanh Tan, Admissions Officer of FPT University Can Tho Branch, FPT Corporation happily said: "Last year, I received a Tet gift from my boss. Although the value was not large, I felt very warm because I saw the respect for the employees."

Mr. Thanh Tan (far right) and his colleagues participated in the Tet celebration event at FPT.
This announcement not only excited the staff and lecturers but also inspired the creativity of the students. Instead of giving expensive gifts to their teachers, young people at FPT chose a more unique way to express their feelings: from handmade gifts such as paintings, souvenirs, to products made by themselves such as vegetables, flowers grown in the school garden, or even self-composed songs.
Some students even jokingly said: "The teachers forbid receiving gifts, so we will wait to receive gifts in return." The image of teachers and students exchanging meaningful gifts during the Tet celebration at school has become a very unique feature of FPT.
This announcement has become a tradition of FPT education. Every time the Lunar New Year is approaching, this document is sent to all staff and lecturers as a necessary practice to signal a happy Tet season with special features for educators at FPT.
This regulation of FPT education sector also contributes to the serious implementation of Directive 40-CT/TW 2024 of the Secretariat on the prohibition of giving Tet gifts to leaders at all levels in all forms during the Tet At Ty 2025. Practical moves such as the announcement of the ban on giving Tet gifts by FPT education sector or other units and organizations have contributed to the practical implementation of this directive, bringing a happy and healthy Tet atmosphere to many workers.
