Practical gifts, full of love, were given by Club members to the poor, helping them have the motivation to improve their lives. Thereby, spreading good values and humane actions, imbued with human love to the community.
Mr. Hoang Van Than, a native of Khanh Yen commune, was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure in 2016 and is unable to work to earn an income. Every week, in addition to having to worry about food and clothing, he also has to spend a large amount of money to pay for dialysis to maintain his life. Knowing Mr. Than's situation, members of the Lao Cai Charity Heart Red Cross Volunteer Club have supported him with some monthly essential goods such as instant noodles, cooking oil, rice, peanuts, etc.
Mr. Than shared: “Since I started dialysis, I have received monthly support from the club. Thanks to that, my life has always been guaranteed.”

As a person with nearly 21 years of experience in dialysis, Mr. Dinh Van Hong, Xuan Quang commune, has also received support from the Lao Cai Red Cross Volunteer Club of Compassionate Hearts for many years. For Mr. Hong, this is not only a material but also a spiritual support. In addition to the essential goods he receives every month, what Mr. Hong always cherishes are the words of encouragement, support, and wishes for him and other patients to have stable health... from the members of the Club.
Not only Mr. Than and Mr. Hong, but currently there are dozens of patients in the dialysis area near Lao Cai General Hospital No. 2 who have to struggle to pay for treatment and daily meals. This burden would not be relieved if the past years had not been supported by the Lao Cai Charity Heart Red Cross Volunteer Club.

Ms. Nguyen Phuong Thuy - Head of the Lao Cai Charity Heart Red Cross Volunteer Club said: The activities to support people in difficult circumstances in Lao Cai province have been carried out by the Club for 10 visits. When it was first established, the Club only had a few individuals, but now it has 34 official members and 10 reserve members.
When asked about the reason for establishing the Club, Ms. Thuy shared: “Once when I was taking care of my sick mother, who was being treated in the hospital, I witnessed many people in such difficult circumstances. They lacked money to buy medicine, even had to divide a meal into three to eat, so I thought about establishing the Club. At first, we mainly cooked charity meals to support poor patients with free meals, and then supported bread for breakfast. However, after understanding the actual situation and the needs of those in need, we switched to supporting monthly necessities and only added bread cabinets at some hospitals.”

The kind deeds of the members of the Kind Heart Club have been known and trusted by many benefactors and philanthropists. This has made the Club a bridge of kindness, connecting love and support from those who want to give to individuals in difficult situations who need support.
Regularly participating in the Club's volunteer activities, Ms. Phung Thi Ha also finds her life more joyful and meaningful. Ms. Ha said: Since knowing and participating in the Club's activities, I have found more like-minded souls in life. Each member of the Club always wants to do good deeds and hopes that the spirit of charity will spread more widely, especially among young people. Not only do we have to wait to be rich to do charity, but each individual can contribute their small efforts to society.
To organize each charity program successfully, Ms. Thuy and the members always build a specific plan. In particular, focusing on surveying, verifying the right subjects in need of support and understanding their specific needs so that the gifts are given to the right people, promoting effectiveness. Implementing transparent revenue and expenditure immediately after each activity. Ms. Thuy herself taught herself to take photos and record clips to spread the most realistic and objective images of the gift-giving journey and send them to sponsors. It is those images and videos that spread good values to many people, attracting them to join the Club to bring joy to difficult lives.
“When we help an individual, we publicly disclose how much money we have raised, from whom; what the gifts include, how much they cost; how much money is left… When we give the gifts, we also invite donors to participate and take pictures and videos. We also ask the local authorities where the supported individual lives to confirm the Club’s support,” Ms. Thuy shared.

Currently, the Club is one of the few volunteer organizations under the Provincial Cross Society and is recognized and highly appreciated by the Society. From socialized sources, the Club has built a food fund for poor patients at Provincial General Hospital No. 2, Provincial Rehabilitation Hospital; maintained 13 humanitarian addresses for orphans, disabled people, homeless elderly people, and Agent Orange victims in many localities in the old districts of Lao Cai province such as: Bat Xat, Bac Ha, Muong Khuong, Bao Thang, Van Ban; built welfare works such as clean water wells, built charity houses and supported warm clothes and blankets for students in highland schools... The total value of humanitarian activities in the period 2020 - 2025 reached 20 billion VND to help tens of thousands of people in difficult circumstances.
