Malaysian player asks Vietnam women's team not to score more goals

During the 7-0 victory of the Vietnamese women's team over Malaysia on December 5, center-back Steffi Sarge Kaur had an interesting exchange with striker Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang.

According to Tri Thuc - Znews , Steffi proactively approached Thuy Hang after the final whistle. The two players shook hands and exchanged polite smiles before having a short conversation. Looking through the video, a few moments made many people think that there was an argument or exchange of words between them. However, according to Thuy Hang herself, the real story was completely opposite.

Steffi took the initiative to express her admiration for the attacking power of the Vietnamese women's team and the flexibility of the red-shirted strikers. She even asked the Vietnamese women's players not to score any more goals in the context that the Malaysian women's team no longer had the strength to defend.

Notably, Steffi also "blamed" Thuy Hang for scoring. But in fact, the Malaysian girl was mistaken because Thuy Hang did not score in this match.

The moment showed that despite losing heavily, Malaysia maintained a respectful and receptive attitude, while the Vietnamese women's team proved their mettle as a strong team not only by the score, but also by their professional attitude and fair play both on and off the field.

The 7-0 victory helped the Vietnamese women's team temporarily rise to the top of Group B of the 33rd SEA Games. In the remaining match, the Myanmar women's team beat the Philippines 2-1. On December 8, the Vietnamese women's team will face the Philippines. If they win, Huynh Nhu and her teammates will be considered to have one foot in the semi-finals.
