According to the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council, the Banyan tree in Tay An Hai village fully meets the criteria regarding historical, cultural, landscape, and ecological value to be honored as a Vietnam Heritage Tree.
This ancient tree is not only deeply intertwined with the religious life of the local people but also a historical landmark, contributing to the sacred atmosphere of the Thien YA Na Shrine.

The ancient Sophora tree, recently recognized as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree, is approximately 300 years old. Located in Tay An Hai hamlet, Ly Son Special Economic Zone (formerly Trung Yen hamlet, An Hai village), it grows naturally and is associated with the temple of Lady Thien YA Na. The site is built at the foot of a hill, surrounded on both sides by high stone embankments; next to it is a forest with many large ancient trees, which the locals call Dinh Forest.
The tree's trunk circumference, measured at a height of 1.3m above the ground, is 25m, its diameter is 7.96m, and its height is over 25m.

The recognition of the Banyan tree as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree is of great significance in nature conservation, preserving cultural heritage, and raising community awareness in protecting the traditional values and distinctive landscape of the Ly Son Special Economic Zone.
