Mr. Luu Huu Su (My Dong village, Duc Phu commune) is overjoyed to celebrate Tet this year in his spacious new house after many years living in a temporary dwelling. The house was built with manpower support from the Command of Defense Area IV - Ban Thach, the Commune Military Command, and the Commune Police.
“Life was difficult, and I never thought I would one day celebrate Tet in a sturdy house like this. Thanks to the help of the officers, soldiers, and the People's Committee of Duc Phu commune, my family now has a stable place to live, and we no longer live in constant fear whenever natural disasters occur,” Mr. Su shared.
Mr. Su's family home was built under the "Quang Trung Campaign" with a construction subsidy of 80 million VND. According to the Duc Phu Commune People's Committee, in addition to this house, the locality is also implementing the construction of 5 other houses under the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with a total budget of 320 million VND.
Not only in Duc Phu commune, but also in many other localities, activities to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) are being actively implemented. Recently, the Women's Union of Tam Ky ward organized the "Warm Spring - Loving Tet" program in its sister commune, Tra Tap, with many activities such as: giving Tet gifts, providing livelihood support, and organizing a "Zero-Cost Booth".
In Nong Son commune, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, in coordination with the Association for the Protection of Poor and Unfortunate Women and Children of Da Nang City, organized a program to present Tet gifts to women and children in difficult circumstances. In addition, the Party cell of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune continued to sponsor four orphaned children with particularly difficult circumstances.

Alongside focusing on social welfare, localities are urgently implementing urban decoration and beautification efforts to create a vibrant spring atmosphere. In Dien Ban ward, Tet decorations are being implemented comprehensively. Hoang Dieu street has been chosen as the central flower street, becoming a highlight of the ward during this year's Tet holiday.
At 24/3 Square (Ban Thach Ward), workers from Tam Ky Urban Public Service Joint Stock Company are urgently constructing flower gardens, miniature landscapes, decorative lighting systems, and mascot models to welcome the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
This is a familiar spot, attracting many people from the former Tam Ky city and neighboring localities such as Phu Ninh, Nui Thanh, Tien Phuoc, and Thang Binh (formerly) to come and enjoy the spring festivities and take souvenir photos during the first days of the new year.
According to Mr. Cao Van Tu (Huong Tra ward), the investment in decorating the square demonstrates Da Nang city's concern for the spiritual life of people in the southern region. "A well-invested public space during Tet will create conditions for people to enjoy themselves in a healthy and safe way," Mr. Tu shared.
A representative from Tam Ky Urban Public Service Joint Stock Company stated that this year the city invested over 6 billion VND in Tet decorations in four wards: Ban Thach, Huong Tra, Tam Ky, and Quang Phu; of which approximately 5 billion VND was invested in the 24/3 Square.
The spring-themed displays at 24/3 Square are designed to harmoniously blend traditional and modern elements, creating an open and friendly space for people to enjoy the spring festivities. To meet the deadline, the company mobilized almost all of its resources to complete the spring festival area, which is expected to officially open on the 25th day of the 12th lunar month.
