Providing support for poor households and families entitled to preferential policies during Tet (Lunar New Year).

In the days leading up to the traditional Lunar New Year, an atmosphere of sharing and social responsibility is spreading strongly throughout Thanh Hoa province.

Thousands of meaningful gifts have been jointly presented by organizations, units, and businesses to poor households, families in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people as a warm encouragement before the New Year. Each gift not only has material value but also contains the affection, care, and determination of the entire community in the journey of caring for social welfare, so that everyone, every family, can have a fulfilling and warm Lunar New Year in 2026, in the spirit of "no one left behind".

Accordingly, the Trade Union of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies - Thanh Hoa Provincial Branch distributed over 600 Tet (Lunar New Year) gifts, including cash and essential goods, to poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in localities throughout the province. The total value of the gifts was over 600 million VND, funded by contributions from all staff, officials, and employees in the entire system. These gifts are meaningful and demonstrate the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies' concern for the lives of the people, especially vulnerable groups, during the Tet holiday.

Mr. Le Huu Quyen, Director of the Social Policy Bank of Thanh Hoa, said that in addition to the task of implementing policy credit, the Social Policy Bank of Thanh Hoa always focuses on social welfare work, considering it a responsibility and a sentiment of the staff and employees in accompanying the poor and other policy beneficiaries. The activities of visiting and giving gifts to policy beneficiaries during the Lunar New Year of the Horse aim to promptly share and encourage families in difficult circumstances, contributing to helping people celebrate the traditional Tet holiday more warmly and fully. The Social Policy Bank system always accompanies households in borrowing and using loans effectively, contributing to creating new jobs and improving family life.

Contributing to the Tet (Lunar New Year) celebrations for disadvantaged members, on February 8th, the Farmers' Association of Nga Son commune, Thanh Hoa province, in coordination with the Vietnam Commercial and Industrial Bank - Thanh Hoa Branch, organized a program to distribute 700 Tet gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor and near-poor households, and disadvantaged farmer members in the commune. During this event, the various levels of the association coordinated the distribution of nearly 1,000 gifts with a total value of nearly 500 million VND in the communes of Dong Son, Na Meo, Quang Phu, Van Xuan, Quang Chinh, Tien Trang, Sam Son, Kien Tho, Yen Dinh, Van Nho, etc. In addition, the Farmers' Associations at all levels donated nearly 300 gifts to disadvantaged households with a total value of over 200 million VND in the wards of Bim Son, Quang Trung, and Tho Lap commune.

Also on February 8th, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Business Association organized a program to present 100 Tet gifts to poor households, households with particularly difficult circumstances, victims of Agent Orange, and disabled children on the occasion of the 2026 Lunar New Year in Quang Yen and Dinh Tan communes. Mr. Nguyen Hong Phong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Business Association, stated: "In recent years, the Provincial Business Association has paid special attention to social welfare activities, especially during Tet. Through a series of social welfare activities during the Lunar New Year, the Thanh Hoa business community continues to affirm its social role and responsibility, spreading the image of dynamic, capable, and compassionate entrepreneurs."
