According to Ms. Le Thi Tiet, President of the Dong Nai City Midwives Association, women in their reproductive years need not only physical care but also comprehensive attention to their mental well-being, knowledge, and quality of life. Therefore, the team of midwives plays a crucial role in accompanying, supporting, and raising awareness and skills in safe reproductive health care for women.

Ms. Phan Thi Hanh, President of the Vietnam Midwives Association, also emphasized the important role of midwives in the healthcare system, especially in remote areas where healthcare conditions are still challenging. Beyond providing reproductive health care, midwives directly contribute to saving the lives of many mothers and newborns in critical situations.

Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Health, Vo Thi Ngoc Lam, highly appreciated the role of midwives in maternal and child health care. Despite many difficulties and work pressures, the midwives remain dedicated, contributing to improving the quality of reproductive health care for the people. In the coming time, the health sector will continue to cooperate with the City's Midwifery Association to organize more workshops and training courses to update professional knowledge and new techniques for medical staff, contributing to improving the quality of health care for women and children in the city.
At the workshop, speakers presented many in-depth topics related to reproductive health and obstetrics and gynecology, such as: the current status of gestational diabetes; prevention and management of early-stage cervical cancer; evaluation of the pain relief effectiveness of transverse abdominal nerve block after cesarean section at Thong Nhat General Hospital; the current status of knowledge about emergency contraceptive pills among first-year students at Dong Nai Medical College in 2025; safe early medical abortion…
