In the early hours of April 23rd, Yamal suffered an injury during Barcelona's 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo in La Liga's 33rd round. According to Mundo Deportivo , the 18-year-old striker was diagnosed with a torn hamstring. The Spanish forward will undergo thorough examinations later that day to determine the exact severity of the injury.
According to Spanish media, Yamal's injury is divided into three degrees. If he's lucky, he'll only have a degree one injury, meaning a slight muscle strain and pain, and he can still walk normally.
However, AS fears Yamal risks a level two injury, meaning it would take around five weeks for him to return to training. At this level, the Spanish striker could have a partial muscle tear and suffer significant damage.
In the worst-case scenario, Yamal could be sidelined for three months or more if he suffers a complete muscle tear and requires surgery.

Following the match against Celta Vigo, midfielder Gavi expressed his disappointment regarding Yamal's injury. In an interview, the Spanish player admitted it was a major shock for the entire team.
"For me, Lamine is the best," Gavi shared. "It's a terrible thing. I hope his injury is as minor as possible."
According to Gavi, losing Yamal was not only a professional blow but also had a significant impact on the team's morale. He revealed that the young talent, born in 2007, was very upset in the locker room when he realized the seriousness of the situation.
"This is a painful blow for us, because he is an extremely important player. Yamal is very upset because he understands his role in the team," Gavi concluded.
