Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , MC Tran Ngoc said that the idea for creating these segments came very naturally, stemming from live streams where she chatted with viewers.
He said that during the interactions, many young people asked everyday questions, and even sent private messages expressing feelings of helplessness, loneliness, and not knowing who to share with. Even though they didn't know him personally, having only seen him on television or social media, this trust made him ponder and decide to dedicate time to talking and listening whenever possible.
Having experienced loneliness in his youth, he hopes that his simple answers can help young people feel lighter, more positive, and find empathy during difficult times.
Below each video, young people leave lively comments like, "Reading Gen Z is like reading a book," "It's like reading their minds." Some humorously say, "He's full of experience, watching him answer questions really brightens my day"; "After a long day, I just wait to watch Mr. Ngoc's videos, and I feel so much less tired. I can't stop laughing."
In response to that comment, the male MC expressed that he himself had once been a young person, having experienced confusion and setbacks, and therefore felt empathy.
"It's simply that I have more life experience than younger people. What I try to do is translate what I've learned from observing and listening to the stories around me every day into content for conversations with them," he said.
Why are Gen Z so fascinated by the MC who always advises "break up, move on"?

MC Tran Ngoc previously served as the head of production for a talk show on psychology for young people on VTV, spending two years working directly with experts and PhDs in psychology, and consulting with the Vietnam Institute of Psychology. That period helped him understand the issues and concerns that young people often face.
"I just try to add my own personality and use of relatable language so that people don't feel preachy or bored when chatting," he shared.

MC Tran Ngoc said that content creators need to adhere to the principles of social media platforms; videos must be concise, easy to understand, and straight to the point, but still emotional and interesting enough so that viewers don't feel bored.
"I always consider whether my words are strong enough to convey the information, but absolutely not offensive. Instead, they should be relatable to young people, positive, and wholesome, so that even if parents accidentally see them, they won't feel worried about what their children are accessing on social media," he said.
Many Gen Z commenters said: "On average, Tran Ngoc's advice is: disband, quit immediately, next," "focus on studying," "work on your thesis, do a proper internship." He's even jokingly called "the Minister of Disbandment."
Explaining, MC Tran Ngoc said that behind those seemingly decisive statements was the desire for young people to be positive and level-headed, to respect and love themselves, and not to discard their emotions if unfortunate situations arise.
"I see many people who are very fragile and easily broken, and then their minds spiral downwards because of relationships, work, and family. I hope you listen and smile, and remember that it's okay, you still have yourself to love," he said.
He believes he is simply an individual performing on stage, through which he is known and loved by the audience. Therefore, his goal is simply to become a positive point of contact, so that whenever young people need it, they can click to watch, smile, and feel better each day.
