That's right! Dong Nai has always been the land of magnificent horses. The word "sacrifice" here doesn't mean ritualistic offerings. According to cultural researchers, it's the image of a sacrificial horse galloping at full speed, running with all its might and will. These sacrificial horses, with their powerful strides from centuries ago, carried the aspirations of our ancestors for this land. It embodies a spirit of grandeur and perseverance; the relentless pioneering spirit of the "hardworking yet courageous people of the East." The Year of the Horse arriving in the "Land of Horses"—isn't that a meaningful reunion of opportune timing and favorable location, allowing long-held aspirations to finally take flight?
Today's ceremonial horse has embodied the dream of Phu Dong's iron horse, manifested in its first commercial flight landing at Long Thanh International Airport on December 19, 2025. For me, it's not just a technical milestone, but a moment when the age-old aspiration for flight has crystallized into a tangible reality. On a giant lotus platform, just illuminated amidst the grand construction site of willpower and belief, the ceremonial horse has truly "taken flight," affirming that Dong Nai has now become a wide-open gateway connecting Vietnam with the world.
Today's steed is making rapid strides. Amidst the storms of the global economy , Dong Nai stands tall and strong, playing the role of a leading growth engine. The numbers are not dry figures, but the heartbeat of a body brimming with vitality: With a Gross Regional Product (GRDP) reaching nearly 678 trillion VND, the 9.63% growth rate is not only a new record but also propels the province to the top of the Southeast region. In particular, the breakthrough of over 10.7% in the last quarter of 2025 has affirmed the position of a courageous "horse" on the race track of integration.
In another rhythm, we see the horse embodied in the vibrant energy of an industrial city. As dawn breaks over the vital transportation arteries, the rhythm of the horses' hooves blends with the hurried footsteps of tens of thousands of workers heading to their new shifts. It is a symphony of labor and creativity, where the strength of the horse is accumulated steadily through each hour of machine operation.
And then, as we stroll through the hustle and bustle of the city, we encounter a tranquil ceremonial horse on the banks of the Dong Nai River. It's the scent of ripe Tan Trieu pomelos, whispering stories of alluvial soil, a heartfelt blessing for a peaceful new year. The river continues its diligent flow, reflecting the alluvial plains, carrying the memories and aspirations of a land that has never ceased its pioneering efforts.
Although we know the future still holds many challenges, with the tangible results we've seen and heard before the new year, we have every reason to be confident in the path Dong Nai has chosen. The growth targets of 10% or exceeding 100 trillion VND in budget revenue for 2026 are not unrealistic figures, but rather destinations that have been affirmed by the resilience of the province after a long and solid journey.
In that optimistic spirit, I envision a spring where the "Horse Galloping to Success" motto will shine brightly in the era of national resurgence. When the people of Dong Nai – the "horse riders" with their generous and courageous blood – encounter the right opportunity, breakthroughs are inevitable.
Greetings to the Year of the Horse! Greetings to our beloved homeland, Dong Nai – a land of horses entering its zodiac spring! Amidst the changing seasons, the sound of horse hooves echoes from the past to the present, urging us to confidently stride forward, writing glorious chapters in the history of this verdant land of aspirations.
