Director Charlie Nguyen with the legendary Batman supercar
Appearing at the Manga Comic Con Vietnam 2023 event (taking place on July 29 and 30 at the Sky Expo Vietnam International Convention and Exhibition Center (Quang Trung Software Park, Ho Chi Minh City)), director Charlie Nguyen attracted attention.
Before participating in the talk show, the director had a tour of the entire event. Here, he had his first experience driving the Batmobile Tumbler - the legendary supercar associated with the image of Batman in the series The Dark Night by director Christopher Nolan.
It is known that this is the Batmobile supercar model owned by Macro Studio that is being displayed at the Manga Comic Con Vietnam event. Besides the Batmobile supercar, attendees can also find many "huge" scale exhibition models such as King Kong, unique tigers and dragons made from tires, a sand table model simulating the battle in the movie How to Train Your Dragon with the highest sophistication in Asia as well as many superhero models of all different sizes.
At Manga Comic Con Vietnam 2023, director Charlie Nguyen also officially announced the launch of season 2 of the COMINK project - a competition for young people with a passion for creating comics held annually.
Director Charlie Nguyen said this is not simply a talent competition but a playground, a place to nurture, support and guide those who are truly passionate to be able to draw their own stories.

COMINK has organized many workshops on storytelling, character building, comic drawing, color coordination, image structure... with the goal of connecting young participants with experienced people in the field of comic creation.
Here, you will not only learn and hone your skills to go further, but also connect and open up opportunities for self-development in a field that is still quite new in Vietnam.
Director Charlie Nguyen also added that Vietnam is known as a "consumption" market for foreign comic and webtoon products.
Recently, webtoon companies from Korea or the US have gradually "noticed" the Vietnamese market and brought many projects to domestic artists. However, Vietnamese people often only do the "processing" steps such as coloring, framing the story, adding dialogue...
Charlie Nguyen also expressed his own aspirations.
Charlie always wishes that one day Vietnamese people will have comic books told from real Vietnamese stories, carrying Vietnamese cultural, historical and national spirit values.
One of Charlie Nguyen's ambitions is to introduce Vietnamese stories conveyed through comics or webtoons to international communities. To do this, it is necessary to have the cooperation of many units to create conditions for "young" writers to create.
Great experience with supercar
Charlie Nguyen said he is always looking for partners to make this playground more accessible to you, to promote your dreams, to turn your dreams into a real career, not just a hobby or habit.
