At around 7:45, many small businesses and people shopping at Da Lat market discovered smoke coming from a specialty store at La Tulipe Dalat Shopping Mall in Ward 1. At this time, there was no one inside the store.

The on-site fire prevention force of the Da Lat Market Management Board mobilized 14 people along with local police and some people to move furniture and break down the iron door to get inside the store.
They used mini fire extinguishers and pulled water from fire hydrants to put out the fire. After about 5 minutes, the fire was controlled. The fire did not cause any loss of life, and surrounding stores were not affected.
