On December 2, Vinh Loc Commune Police coordinated with functional units of Ho Chi Minh City Police to examine the scene of a house in an alley on Lien Hamlet 2-6 Street to investigate the cause of the fire that left 4 people injured and dead.

According to initial information, early in the morning of the same day, people living in the alley smelled a burning smell coming from the house so they ran out to check. At this time, the door of the house was locked from the inside, many people climbed to the first floor to break the glass door of the house to get inside to put out the fire.
The fire started on the ground floor, right in the middle of the house. People used mini fire extinguishers to put out the fire, broke the front door to bring out 3 people with severe burns. The 8-year-old girl was trapped inside the bedroom, when the door was broken down she was motionless. All 4 people were taken to the hospital for emergency treatment, however the 8-year-old girl did not survive.

According to some residents, the house is owned by a woman who lives with her 8-year-old daughter. Recently, the woman has been acting strangely, often wandering around laughing and talking like a soulless person.
This woman was recently found after being lost for many days. To prevent her from wandering again, on December 1, her brother-in-law and his 10-year-old daughter came to this house to take care of her, and the incident happened that same evening.
By noon of the same day, two adults with burns were being treated at Cho Ray Hospital, and a 10-year-old girl was being treated at Children's Hospital.
