(NLDO) - The modern automatic train washing technology of metro line No. 1 in Ho Chi Minh City helps save time, water and ensures the train is always clean.
Since January 10, the advanced automatic train washing system has officially come into operation at the Depot of Metro Line No. 1 in Ho Chi Minh City. This is a system that integrates many modern technologies to optimize the train maintenance and cleaning process.
According to information from Urban Railway Company No. 1, each day, the system can wash 2-3 trains, with a time of about 15 minutes per train, using only 1 m3 of water for each wash.

This ship washing system consists of two main areas: the washing chamber and the engine room. The washing chamber is equipped with advanced equipment such as brushes, spray domes and cleaning modules for the wheelhouse, bow and stern. These equipment undertake the cleaning of important parts of the ship, ensuring effective and uniform cleaning.
The machine room houses the processing and control equipment such as pumps, metering equipment, water tanks, clean water tanks, and containers for cleaning agents and desiccants. Each component in the system is designed to ensure stable and efficient operation.

Metro Line 1 welcomes first Tet with new schedule
From January 19, the Public Transport Management Center adjusted the bus and metro schedules, and issued 1,500 additional vehicle badges to serve the people.
According to the forecast of the Public Transport Management Center (GTCC), the travel demand of people during the Lunar New Year 2025 will start to increase from January 19, 2025 (December 20). Although the Tet holiday officially starts from January 27, 2025 (December 26), people have the habit of returning to their hometowns early to reunite with their families, causing the number of passengers flocking to inter-provincial bus stations, Hoa Hung station and Tan Son Nhat airport to increase dramatically.
From January 26, Metro Line 1 will adjust its operating frequency to meet people's travel needs. It is expected that from January 26 (December 27) to February 2 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), Metro Line 1 will operate throughout Tet with 1,182 trains.
