Updated at 5:00 a.m. today, December 1, the listed exchange rate of the central exchange rate posted by the State Bank is still at 24,251 VND/USD, unchanged from the announcement from the previous session. The selling price of USD at commercial banks is mainly traded around 25,463 VND/USD.
Specifically, the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank listed the USD buying and selling price at 25,130 - 25,463 VND/USD, down 15 VND/USD for buying and down 21 VND/USD for selling compared to the previous session.
BIDV listed the USD buying and selling prices at 25,160 - 25,463 VND/USD, down 20 VND/USD for buying and down 21 VND/USD for selling compared to the previous session.
At Vietinbank, the listed USD buying and selling prices are at 25,160 - 25,463 VND/USD, unchanged in buying price and down 21 VND/USD in selling price compared to the previous session.
Eximbank listed the USD buying and selling prices at 25,120 - 25,463 VND/USD, down 30 VND/USD for buying and down 21 VND/USD for selling compared to the previous session.
The USD/VND exchange rate on the free market today decreased by 9 VND in buying and selling prices compared to the previous session, currently trading around 25,610 - 25,710 VND/USD.

USD exchange rate today December 1, 2024 on the world market
The Dollar Index (DXY), which measures the USD against six major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 105.78, up 0.2 points unchanged from the transaction on November 30, 2024.

The US dollar continued to slide against major currencies, while the Japanese yen rose to a six-week high against the greenback on Friday, after data showing faster-than-expected inflation in Tokyo prompted investors to increase bets that the Bank of Japan will raise interest rates next month.
The US dollar closed the session down 1.27% against the Japanese yen, currently at 149.62 yen, after earlier hitting 149.47 yen, its lowest level since October 21. The US dollar also fell 3.38% against the Japanese currency this week, its biggest weekly decline since July.
The DXY index hit 105.61 at one point during the session, its lowest level since November 12.
On the other hand, the euro rose 0.24% to $1.0578. However, the common European currency has fallen 2.8% in November as the dollar has strengthened. The euro is on track for its worst monthly performance since May 2023.
The US dollar could experience a temporary decline in December as a series of central bank meetings take place, according to analysts at Citi Bank.
Nine of the ten central banks in the G10 group (Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States) are scheduled to meet over the next three weeks. Five central banks are expected to announce interest rate adjustments: the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, the Bank of Japan, the Bank of Canada, and the Swiss National Bank.
Citi Bank said data from the US and Canada, especially the labor market report on Friday, December 6, will play an important role in shaping market sentiment.
