The 'key' to unlocking the door to employment.

Having sustainable jobs and improving the quality of life for workers is also the "key" to social stability. To ensure that this "key" is effective and opens the "door" to a happy and prosperous society, Thai Nguyen province always prioritizes and improves the quality of its human resources through vocational training.

The province currently has over 778,000 people of working age, of which over 768,000 are employed; nearly 10,000 are ready to enter the labor market. Each year, over 40,000 workers find employment, including over 4,000 who create new jobs through the program of sending workers abroad for fixed-term employment under contract.

The majority of workers are employed in industrial zones and clusters both within and outside the province as laborers, while only a small number are able to create their own jobs locally.

The unemployment rate among the working-age population in Thai Nguyen province has consistently remained low, fluctuating between 1.7% and 1.8%. This figure clearly reflects the effectiveness of the province's vocational training, job creation, and labor supply-demand matching policies in the new context.

In the digital age, hard work alone is not enough; workers need the skills and abilities to access and operate modern technological equipment. To meet this requirement, participation in vocational training courses is essential.

Therefore, Thai Nguyen province always prioritizes vocational training, linking training with market demands, thereby equipping workers with specialized knowledge, work skills, industrial work ethics, and the ability to adapt flexibly in the era of integration.

Vocational education institutions (VET) address the "bottleneck" of limitations faced by people when participating in the labor market. They also serve as a place where workers can learn general education, acquire vocational skills, and equip themselves with fundamental knowledge in a suitable field to establish a career.

The reality proves that skilled workers with extensive practical experience are the key force determining the productivity, quality, and competitiveness of the economy. Furthermore, with solid professional skills, workers have stable employment, secure income, and are not at risk of unemployment.

The province currently has 56 vocational training institutions, with a total training capacity of over 120,000 students. To develop, these institutions are actively innovating their training programs, investing in facilities, and expanding training partnerships with domestic and foreign businesses.

Vocational training institutions are updating their curricula with new, advanced training programs from around the world, integrating digital skills, soft skills, and foreign languages into their training, helping students adapt quickly to the modern work environment. The quality of vocational training is improved, and the skilled workforce meets the requirements of labor structure transformation and effectively serves local socio-economic development.

To achieve the highest effectiveness in vocational training, provincial authorities regularly issue guidelines to vocational education institutions on implementing career guidance, standardization, and development of facilities and equipment according to occupations; focusing on developing "key occupations," and diversifying training programs to meet the needs of both learners and employers.

Vocational training institutions and businesses have also proactively strengthened linkages in training and recruitment. 94% of trainees have successfully met the labor needs of businesses after completing their training.

Currently, the province's trained workforce rate reaches 75%. The quality of vocational training is gradually being reformed towards training based on orders, closely linking schools and businesses, especially in the fields of engineering, technology, information technology, high-tech agriculture, tourism, and e-commerce.

The training model, closely linked to business practices, has improved the quality of human resources, creating a strong connection between schools, businesses, and the labor market. Labor supply and demand are met. Businesses do not face labor shortages. Employees do not frequently change jobs and businesses ensure that all benefits and policies stipulated by the State are fully paid.

Not only do vocational training institutions in the province offer immediate employment after training, but they also meet the job requirements of businesses, making them increasingly attractive to students. In the last three years, annual enrollment at these institutions has consistently met or exceeded targets, with approximately 50,000 students per year.

Through the Provincial Employment Service Center, thousands of workers receive job counseling and referrals each year.

In 2025 alone, the target is to recruit over 56,000 students. Notably, for the past two years, vocational training institutions have integrated AI programs into their training programs, helping learners access modern technology, develop digital thinking, and acquire the ability to adapt to the modern labor market.

Through vocational training, workers become more confident when entering the labor market. The knowledge and skills they acquire help them proactively seek employment, adapt to practical demands, and improve labor productivity. As a result, they have the opportunity for stable employment, contributing to improved income, enhanced quality of life, and a positive contribution to the socio-economic development of their locality.

Businesses in the province regularly register to recruit more than 30,000 positions across various industries and sectors. Job opportunities are constantly opening up for workers, especially young workers who have just entered the labor market.

However, the labor market still faces many challenges, including disparities in skill levels between urban and rural areas; limited awareness among some workers; and a persistent reluctance to relocate or change careers.

This requires all levels and sectors to strengthen career counseling and guidance, improve the quality of training, and encourage workers to proactively learn vocational skills and adapt flexibly to seize job opportunities in the new context.

By prioritizing vocational training, Thai Nguyen province has gradually built a new generation of more advanced workers. They possess high levels of skill, competence, and discipline. They are masters of technology and pioneers in the digital society and digital economy. They have stable jobs and family lives, and they are also at the forefront of opening the door to building a sustainable and prosperous Thai Nguyen province.
