(VTC News) - Amidst the vibrant colors of flowers and ornamental plants at the Spring flower market in Quang Ngai, the "five blessings" apricot blossom tree attracted a large number of people who came to take photos.

In recent days, at the Spring flower market held in Pham Van Dong Square (Cam Thanh ward, Quang Ngai province), many people have expressed their amazement and awe at a golden apricot blossom tree valued at billions of Vietnamese dong.

Mr. Truong Tan Hung (46 years old, residing in Truong Quang Trong ward, Quang Ngai province) – the owner of the "five blessings" yellow apricot blossom tree – shared that this is a spring apricot blossom with green shoots, a traditional variety highly valued among apricot blossom enthusiasts nationwide.

According to Mr. Hung, he bought this apricot blossom tree, which is over 60 years old, from someone else, and this year he decided to display it at the Spring Flower Fair with the main purpose of serving the people's need for viewing.

"From the base to the 'branches' of this apricot blossom tree, it's only about 20cm, but the five main branches spread out in very harmonious and balanced directions. Even though I've been growing apricot blossom trees for Tet for decades and own dozens of beautiful trees, I think only this 'five blessings' yellow apricot blossom tree has achieved such perfection," said Mr. Hung.

Since being displayed at the Spring Flower Market, the apricot blossom tree, valued at billions of dong, has attracted a large number of people to admire it. Many people stop for a long time, admiring the shape of the tree and chatting with its owner to learn about its origin, age, and special values.

“Many people have inquired about buying it, and one customer even offered 1 billion VND, but I didn't sell. I haven't set a specific price, but this apricot blossom tree is definitely worth billions of VND. Everyone finds it beautiful, but if you are knowledgeable about apricot blossom varieties, observing the overall structure from the roots, trunk, branches, and canopy to its natural cohesion, you will understand why the tree has reached the billion-VND mark,” Mr. Hung said.
