According to RT, Russian military officials said a Sukhoi Su-30 multirole fighter jet crashed in the westernmost Kaliningrad region. Both pilots were killed in the incident.

“Su-30 jet crashed during a training flight in the Kaliningrad region,” the Russian military said in a statement.
The plane was not carrying any ammunition at the time, officials added. According to preliminary investigation results, the plane crashed due to a technical fault.
The Su-30 was developed in the 1980s in the Soviet Union and entered service in 1992. It is a 4+ generation multirole fighter specifically designed to gain air superiority.
