Quang Trung Campaign: 1,600 roofs rebuilt for flood victims in Dak Lak in one month.

On the afternoon of January 12th, at the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee (facility 2 in Tuy Hoa ward), Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung led a central government delegation to work with Dak Lak province on the situation regarding the recovery from natural disasters and the progress of repairing and rebuilding houses for people in flood-affected areas.

Joining Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung on his working visit to Dak Lak province were leaders from the Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, National Defence, Public Security, the 5th Military Region Command, and the Government Office .

According to a report from the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, as of January 12th, 892 severely damaged houses in the province had been repaired. Of the 606 newly constructed houses, 529 have been completed, reaching over 87%.

The remaining 77 houses are under construction and are expected to be completed on January 15th. The 16 houses in the new resettlement area are scheduled for handover on January 19th due to unfavorable site conditions, requiring leveling, temporary road construction, and waiting for the concrete structure to meet technical standards.

In terms of infrastructure, major transportation routes are basically open; many transportation, irrigation, and resettlement projects are being urgently implemented to quickly stabilize people's lives and production.

During the meeting, the People's Committee of Dak Lak province requested the Government to consider providing support from the central budget with a total of 10,617 billion VND to the province to overcome the consequences of natural disasters and invest in essential infrastructure projects.

The Provincial People's Committee also requested permission to transfer 374 billion VND from the disaster relief and African swine fever relief fund in 2025, along with approximately 200 billion VND from donations from organizations and individuals, to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province for use in repairing urgent infrastructure projects in the area and supporting aquaculture.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung commended the efforts of Dak Lak province and the armed forces. He said that repairing and building approximately 1,600 houses within a month was considered a very impressive result, demonstrating the profound sense of responsibility and humanity of the "Quang Trung Campaign".

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that by January 15th, the province had basically completed all tasks related to building and repairing houses; the houses in the resettlement area would be completed by January 19th, concluding the campaign successfully.

The Deputy Prime Minister also requested localities to fully assess the damage suffered by people in order to provide support according to Decree 09/2025/ND-CP, and instructed the Ministry of Finance to urgently implement the support as prescribed.

"Local authorities need to continue to fully assess the damage suffered by the people, implement support to the right recipients and in accordance with regulations, urgently restore transportation, irrigation, health, and education infrastructure; and at the same time, rearrange and relocate the population in accordance with actual conditions, limit the risks of natural disasters in the coming time, and ensure that people can stabilize their lives as soon as possible," the Deputy Prime Minister directed.

On the afternoon of January 12th, prior to a working session with the People's Committee of Dak Lak province, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and his delegation visited and worked in Hoa Thinh commune of the province.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to 10 families in Phu Huu village whose houses were destroyed or severely damaged during the recent floods. These families have now received support from authorities to rebuild, repair, and stabilize their living situation.
