During the period of 2021-2025, the statistical work of the Agriculture and Environment sector will be seriously implemented, closely following the provisions of the Law on Statistics and meeting the requirements of state management in the province. Statistical activities have made an important contribution to the assessment of the socio -economic situation on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as well as the development orientation of the sector in the coming time.
The industry's statistical information system is responsible for collecting key indicators such as: aquaculture area and output; rice and crop planting area; livestock data; forest area and coverage rate; salt production activities; rural population rate using clean water; riverbank and coastal erosion; number of communes meeting new rural standards; damage caused by natural disasters and epidemics... According to regulations, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports are all made on time, ensuring accuracy and consistency of data among units in the industry.
The coordination between the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Provincial Statistics Department continues to be maintained effectively. Every month, quarter and year, the two units unify data on socio-economic indicators in the agricultural sector to serve as a basis for the province's reporting. At the same time, they coordinate to provide data on epidemics, production losses, lists of completed works and projects in the year and indicators in the Provincial Statistical Indicator System.
The strict implementation of the coordination mechanism has brought many practical benefits, helping to ensure the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of statistical data for management and direction. Complete and transparent data not only supports management agencies in forecasting and planning, but also serves as a basis for the agricultural sector to develop more sustainably, adapting well to market fluctuations, natural disasters and epidemics.
In the coming time, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will continue to strengthen coordination with the Provincial Statistics Department, improve the quality of data collection and sharing, contributing to the effective implementation of the Vietnam Statistical Development Strategy, meeting the requirements of digital transformation and modern governance in the fields of agriculture and environment./.
