Soldier Le Duy Tan, Platoon 1, Company 25, Battalion 563, said: “I got seasick on the journey from the mainland to the island. However, when I returned to the Battalion, I saw the spacious and well-organized unit, the friendly and enthusiastic officers, and I felt like I had more energy. The two years of military service will certainly have many more challenges and difficulties, but I am determined to fulfill my duty as a citizen to the country.”

Soldier Trieu Chuol, Platoon 4, Company 26, Battalion 563 shared: “When I first joined the unit, I was not familiar with the military environment, so my teammates and I encountered many surprises. It is not like home. From hair, clothes, speech, walking, sleeping... everything must be done in a unified, regular manner within the framework. Although we are not used to it, with the enthusiastic guidance and instruction of the officers and our own efforts and determination, we will quickly integrate and adapt to the new environment, completing the assigned tasks well.”

This year, Battalion 563 is responsible for training new soldiers from the provinces of Kien Giang , Ca Mau and Soc Trang. Immediately after receiving new soldiers, the Battalion directed the companies to quickly stabilize the organization and staffing, thoroughly grasp some regulations and guide the new soldiers to fold blankets, mosquito nets, and arrange internal affairs...

Colonel Luong Quoc Anh visited the health, family life, thoughts and aspirations of the new soldiers, expressing his hope that the new soldiers of Naval Region 5 would uphold their sense of responsibility, promote the revolutionary traditions of their homeland and family, the spirit of youth, actively strive, train, study, work, and successfully complete their assigned tasks, contributing to firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
