According to the Dong Ba Market Management Board, as of the afternoon of November 1, the authorities and traders had collected nearly 200 tons of waste and damaged goods . It is estimated that there are still about 50 tons of waste remaining because some traders have not been able to return to clean up their stalls. The general cleaning of the entire market area has now reached more than 70%, many walkways and main areas have been cleared, creating favorable conditions for the restoration of trading activities as soon as possible.

The images of soldiers and traders wading in the mud, scooping up trash, and transporting damaged goods out of the market area have become vivid proof of the spirit of solidarity, sharing, and the will to overcome difficulties of Hue people after the natural disaster.

Check the electrical system to ensure stable operating conditions when Dong Ba market reopens.

Along with the cleaning work, the Market Management Board also inspected the entire electrical system, wires and switches at each stall , to promptly detect and fix any safety risks, ensuring stable operating conditions when the market reopens.

The Dong Ba Market Management Board requests that vendors quickly return to clean up and arrange their goods on November 2 to prepare for normal business. In case of absence, the unit will temporarily cut off the electricity at the stalls to ensure absolute safety during the inspection and restoration of operations.

It is expected that in the coming time, the garbage collection and disinfection work will be completed, bringing Dong Ba market back to its bustling, safe and civilized trading rhythm as before.
