According to a reporter from the News and Ethnic Groups Newspaper, the number of visitors to Ho Thi Ky flower market (Vuon Lai ward) has increased significantly compared to previous days. The internal roads within the market are packed with people, and motorbikes have to inch forward. Many sections are almost completely gridlocked, and pedestrians have to squeeze through small gaps to move forward.

The road leading to Ho Thi Ky flower market was packed with people on the afternoon of February 15th.

Motorbikes laden with fresh flowers leave the market, spreading the colors of spring in all directions.
Inside the market, the atmosphere of buying and selling Tet flowers is bustling. There are just as many customers buying flowers as there are delivery people. Flowers from other provinces are constantly being transported, and staff are busy unloading and transporting them to each stall to meet the surge in demand during the peak Tet season.

Yellow chrysanthemums are sold in large quantities because they are a type of flower commonly used by people in Ho Chi Minh City during holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year).
Ms. Ho Mong Thanh (a resident of Xuan Hoa ward) said she took advantage of the opportunity to buy flowers from the afternoon of February 15th because she was worried that it would be even more crowded in the following days. “I thought going early would be more convenient, but unexpectedly, it was already packed this afternoon. Even so, the flowers are very fresh and there are many choices. The prices are higher than usual, but acceptable because it's Tet (Lunar New Year),” Ms. Thanh shared.

Many shops only import yellow chrysanthemums for sale to meet the demand for offerings. The price of yellow chrysanthemums ranges from 50,000 to 100,000 VND per bunch, depending on the size.
At the stalls, vendors publicly display prices to make it easy for customers to choose. Accordingly, colored chrysanthemums cost around 150,000 VND/bunch, yellow lilies 300,000 VND/bunch, and snowdrops range from 150,000 to 250,000 VND/bunch depending on quality...
This year, magnolia blossoms have become a "hot" item, priced at around 180,000 VND per stem, yet still consistently attracting customers. Snowdrop blossoms are also popular due to their thick branches, numerous buds, and long blooming period. Stalls displaying flowers fill the walkways with a dazzling array of colors, from chrysanthemums, lilies, and marigolds to miniature Nhat Tan peach blossoms and Northwest forest apricot blossoms… priced from 300,000 to 500,000 VND per stem.

Customers can freely choose their favorite bouquets at Ho Thi Ky fresh flower market.
The owner of a flower shop at Ho Thi Ky market said that compared to the same period last year, flower prices this year have increased by about 20-30% due to transportation costs and supply. "Customers buying Tet flowers are crowded from early morning until early afternoon, and we expect it to be even busier tonight and early tomorrow morning. The shop has to increase staff to serve everyone in time," the flower shop owner said.

Miniature Nhat Tan peach blossoms and wild apricot blossoms from Northwest Vietnam are attracting many buyers looking to decorate their homes for Tet (Lunar New Year).

Floral foliage was also in high demand on the afternoon of February 15th. Prices for this item increased by 10-20% compared to normal days.

Crowds jostled among the flower stalls at 3:30 PM on February 15th.

Flowers such as gladiolus, sunflowers, and chrysanthemums are also quite popular among customers. The price of gladiolus ranges from 95,000 to 150,000 VND per bunch, while sunflowers are sold at prices ranging from 90,000 to 130,000 VND per bunch.

As the afternoon progressed, the number of people flocking to Ho Thi Ky flower market increased steadily.
