Before assigning some new weapons to units, recently, at Division 5, the Logistics - Engineering Department, Military Region 7 proactively organized training on combat features, training methods, and testing of new weapons in 2025. At the training course, officers of the units had a firm grasp of combat features, training methods, and testing of new weapons, such as the STV380 submachine gun... At the end of the training, the Organizing Committee also provided documents and sample lesson plans, as a basis for training units to ensure consistency.

Proactively ensuring logistics and technical work, units actively innovate methods, improve the quality of material assurance and technical equipment, promptly meet training requirements, combat readiness, disaster prevention - rescue and emergency missions.

The work of preserving, maintaining and repairing weapons and technical equipment is carried out seriously and in accordance with procedures. The Logistics and Technical Department proactively advises on investment and upgrading the warehouse system in accordance with technical standards, arranges scientifically and implements regular and periodic maintenance regimes well. Units organize in-depth training for technical staff and employees on the exploitation, use and preservation of equipment and regularly inspect technical assurance work, promptly overcome limitations; at the same time, do a good job of evaluating and classifying the quality of weapons and equipment to have timely adjustment and repair measures. Thanks to that, Military Region 7 always maintains good technical coefficients, ensuring adequate and synchronized weapons and equipment for missions.

From the practical tasks, the Logistics and Technical Department pays special attention to directing the good assurance of military supplies in logistics support work. This is an issue that plays an important role in ensuring the lives, health, spirit and combat readiness of soldiers. Improving the lives of soldiers not only helps them maintain their fighting strength but is also an important and decisive factor in ensuring the spirit and fighting will of soldiers.

Colonel Lieu Van Dung, Head of the Quartermaster Department (Department of Logistics and Engineering) said: “The Quartermaster Department focuses on concretizing the resolution of the Party Committee of Military Region 7 on the policy of ensuring soldiers “Eat well, dress well, sleep warmly, drink cleanly”. Based on the food allowance standards prescribed by the Ministry of National Defense , we guide units to develop menus (daily, weekly), scientific and unified meal structures; meet all standards; quantitative, suitable for the taste of the majority of officers and soldiers. To implement this content, we pay attention to regularly directing to collect opinions from soldiers, thereby adjusting the menu, processing to improve the quality of meals”.

The Logistics and Technical Department directs units to effectively exploit and create food sources, promote the effectiveness of price councils at all levels in managing and controlling the quantity and quality of food sources for soldiers' meals, ensuring publicity, transparency, and correct quantities, regimes, and standards that soldiers enjoy. Agencies assign industry cadres to participate in cooking training courses organized by the Ministry of National Defense and actively self-study to improve their qualifications, knowledge, and skills, and act as a core to guide and direct units.

Along with strengthening inspection, organizing competitions, setting benchmarks, and modeling, the Logistics and Technical Department also advises and maintains the good implementation of the model of visiting and scoring between units to help commanders and logistics and technical agencies assess the quality of security work in a realistic and objective manner; effectively overcome limitations, replicate many good models, and create a competitive atmosphere, open to improving the quality of troop nurturing work.

From the good implementation of the content of ensuring good meals for soldiers, officers and soldiers were excited and actively participated in doing good logistics work, typically promoting increased production (TGSX).

The logistics-technical agency proactively advised the Party Committee and unit commanders to mobilize capital and resources to effectively implement production and livestock development models at all three levels (division, regiment, battalion) in conjunction with promoting the application of science and technology; strengthening connections with local departments and branches in selecting breeds suitable for soil quality, environment, climate and weather. The TGSX models have exploited the potential and strengths of each unit and locality, overcoming the idea of TGSX being reactive, TGSX for inspection purposes; thereby building many effective TGSX and livestock models, applying high technology, building a green, clean and beautiful environment, improving the lives of soldiers.

In 2024, the harvest results from the TGSX of units and localities reached more than 3,046 tons of meat; 1,349 tons of fish; more than 1,754 tons of fruit desserts... Units added more than 2,000 VND/person/day to the meals of officers and soldiers, ensuring that the number of soldiers was 99% healthier, practically improving training, combat readiness, and building strong and comprehensive agencies and units.
