The host organization said: "We admit that some content and images appearing on the official website of SEA Games 33 may contain some inaccurate or incomplete information."
“We sincerely apologize for any errors in the information we have posted previously. We appreciate all the comments, reflections, and feedback from everywhere, which will help us correct our mistakes and help us communicate better in the future.
The 33rd SEA Games Organizing Committee pledges to try to ensure accuracy and provide official data of the congress at the highest possible level in the coming days," the organizing unit of this year's SEA Games added.
One of the mistakes that appeared on the homepage of the 33rd SEA Games was the mistake of the Vietnamese flag. Accordingly, in the introduction of the women's football match between Thailand and Indonesia, the host organizing committee attached the Vietnamese flag to the name of the Thai women's team, and mistakenly attached the Lao flag to the name of the Indonesian women's football team.
The SEA Games 33 Organizing Committee has apologized for the mistakes that have occurred in the past few days, including the aforementioned flag mistake. However, this is only an indirect apology.
