Chairman of the Provincial People's Council inspected the organization of Ca Mau Crab Festival

Speaking at the inspection of the preparations for the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025 (at Phan Ngoc Hien Square, An Xuyen Ward), on the morning of November 14, Comrade Pham Van Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized: The Ca Mau Crab Festival not only aims to promote the local image to domestic and foreign tourists and partners, but also aims to serve the people. Relevant units need to prepare carefully, ensure safety and create the most favorable conditions for people to participate in the event.

Joining the delegation were comrade Ho Trung Viet, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; comrade Le Van Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Comrade Pham Van Thieu inspected the space arrangement plan for the Ca Mau Crab Festival.

The delegation surveyed the opening ceremony area, crab industry exhibition and display space, startup product area, innovation and OCOP products.

Comrade Le Van Su inspected the detailed design plans for the festival space.

According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the logistics and reception work has been basically completed; 3 hotels Muong Thanh, Phu Cuong and Anh Nguyet have been arranged to serve delegates and tourists. The stage and art program have reached 80-90% progress, expected to be completed on November 14 to serve the general rehearsal.

Phan Ngoc Hien Square, where the opening ceremony and exhibition space will take place, is gradually being completed.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment informed that 100% of the booths have been handed over to businesses. Electricity, water, and environmental items are being urgently completed before November 16.

After the survey, the working delegation had a working session with relevant departments, branches and units.

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment To Hoai Phuong reported on the progress of preparations for the Festival.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Su requested relevant sectors to deploy flood prevention plans, prepare high-capacity pumps; develop plans to regulate traffic, maintain security and order; organize a culinary space to ensure hygiene and attract tourists.

At the end of the inspection, comrade Pham Van Thieu requested to absolutely ensure fire prevention and fighting safety, electrical safety and organize thoughtful service for the people during the entire duration of the Festival.
