The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City stated that 2025 marks a new and proud chapter in the historical development of the city named after President Ho Chi Minh. The city has successfully completed the reorganization and merger of administrative units, so that today, the shape of a modern "megacity" is beginning to shine.

Overcoming the initial uncertainties of the transition process, with the unity of the people and the sense of responsibility of the officials, the city quickly stabilized its administrative apparatus, maintained economic growth, and ensured social welfare.

According to the city's top official, behind the growth figures and the new look of the communes and wards lie the sweat, patience, and selflessness of the city's people, working together with the government for a brighter future.

Entering the new year of the Fire Horse 2026, the year of the powerful and proud "Heavenly Horse," our city stands before new opportunities for breakthroughs. With a proactive mindset and modern governance thinking, Ho Chi Minh City is determined to transform the advantages after the merger into tangible strengths to "focus on building smart, super-connected urban infrastructure"; and "promote digital transformation and the green economy."

In particular, Ho Chi Minh City will build a "service-oriented and innovative" government, taking the satisfaction of its citizens as the highest measure of success.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City believes that every citizen of the city, whether at home or abroad, carries within them a sense of pride and aspiration for progress.
