Over the past few days, residential areas in Go Noi commune have been flooded again after consecutive rains and floods since the end of October.
President visits flood-hit Da Nang
Because the road was deeply flooded, normal vehicles could not pass, so the President and the working delegation were taken by special vehicles from Military Region 5 through the flooded area to Bao An village.
Also accompanying the delegation were leaders of many central ministries, departments and agencies and leaders of Da Nang city. Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai - Commander of Military Region 5 - accompanied the delegation.
Bao An is one of 17 villages of Go Noi commune, Da Nang city, with a total natural area of 294.4 hectares (including 625 households with 2,600 people).

In recent times, Bao An village has achieved many important results in all aspects. Infrastructure has improved, the village has been awarded the title of "Cultural Village" for 11 consecutive years. Security and order are guaranteed, and people's awareness of law compliance is increasingly enhanced.
President Luong Cuong acknowledged and commended the spirit of solidarity and efforts of the Party Committee, government and people of Go Noi commune.
The President highly appreciated the role of the Front and organizations in mobilizing people to respond to patriotic emulation movements and build model new rural areas.
The Party and the State do everything to help people in flooded areas stabilize their lives.
Pointing out the damage caused by natural disasters and floods that have occurred in many provinces and cities across the country - including Go Noi commune recently, President Luong Cuong said the Party and State always care, share and do their best to help people stabilize their lives and students go to school.
The President asked localities to continue promoting traditions and good results, and strongly promote the people's role as masters.
All levels need to strengthen dialogue, listen to people's opinions, truly take people as the center, the subject, the goal and driving force of development; build a truly streamlined, compact, effective, efficient, and close-to-the-people grassroots government.
Besides, the President also requested local authorities to pay attention to and improve all aspects of people's material and spiritual life.

Promote socio -economic development, ensure national defense, security and social order and safety; further improve people's living standards and incomes; carry out social security work well so that no one is left behind.
The President also requested all levels and sectors to proactively take adaptive solutions and build safe communities in the context of complex climate change and natural disasters.
"With the tradition of resilience, humanity, and solidarity that has been nurtured, preserved, and passed down through many generations of the people of Bao An and 16 villages of Go Noi commune, I believe that the commune will continue to develop strongly, becoming a bright spot in building a model new rural area, a civilized, safe, and happy village" - the President emphasized.
Joining hands with Da Nang to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, during the visit to Da Nang on the morning of November 18, the Central Working Group also presented 20 billion VND to support Da Nang city and gave gifts to Go Noi commune that suffered damage due to floods.
Representatives of the Ministry of National Defense and Military Region 5 Command also presented 10 gifts to support disadvantaged households.
Earlier, in the morning, President Luong Cuong and his delegation also offered incense at Dien Ban Martyrs' Cemetery, Nguyen Van Troi Memorial House, Hoang Dieu's tomb; and visited Vietnamese Heroic Mother Phan Thi Ngon in Bao An village.
