At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Korea Vu Ho reported to President Luong Cuong on the work results of Vietnamese representative agencies in Korea, the situation of Vietnam-Korea bilateral relations and work for the Vietnamese community in the area.

Speaking at the meeting, President Luong Cuong emphasized that this visit to Korea is of great significance, in the context that Korea continues to be one of Vietnam's leading economic partners.
The President affirmed that the Party and State always consider the Vietnamese community abroad an inseparable part of the great national unity bloc, a valuable resource of the country. President Luong Cuong was moved to learn that many Vietnamese workers, students, and brides are striving to improve themselves, and are highly appreciated by Korean friends; associations of the Vietnamese community in Korea always maintain teaching Vietnamese, organize cultural and sports activities, support each other, and demonstrate the identity of the Vietnamese people: kindness, solidarity, diligence, and creativity.
President Luong Cuong hopes that overseas Vietnamese will continue to uphold the nation's fine traditions, actively integrate, promote the spirit of "mutual love", solidarity, mutual assistance, especially strictly comply with the laws of the host country, and actively contribute to the development of all aspects of the country and the relationship between the two countries.
Regarding associations and unions, President Luong Cuong suggested maintaining and promoting their core role in supporting the community's integration into the host society, coordinating more closely with Vietnamese representative agencies in Korea, and becoming a bridge of friendship between the two countries and their peoples.

The President affirmed that the Party and State are always ready to listen to the thoughts and aspirations of the people and through Vietnamese representative agencies, Vietnamese representative agencies in Korea will continue to promote their role as a bridge, effectively coordinate and implement agreements between high-ranking leaders of the two sides; do a good job of forecasting and advising and continue to carry out community work and citizen protection.
On this occasion, President Luong Cuong also presented Vietnamese books as gifts to the Vietnamese community in southeastern Korea, sending a message to the people about preserving and passing on to their descendants the beautiful values of their mother tongue and Vietnamese culture.
Busan City has a policy to protect 14,000 Vietnamese citizens.
Earlier, President Luong Cuong visited Busan City and received Mr. Park Heong Joon, Mayor of Busan City. President Luong Cuong thanked the city for its active support for the activities of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Busan.

The President asked Busan city to continue promoting and expanding cooperation with Vietnamese provinces and cities, and thanked and hoped that the Busan city government would continue to care for and support the Vietnamese community here.
Expressing agreement with the opinions of President Luong Cuong, Mayor Park Heong Joon pledged that Busan city will continue to closely coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces and cities of Vietnam to strengthen cooperation in areas where both sides have strengths, especially in the fields of seaports, shipbuilding, human resource training, tourism cooperation, etc.
