At the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Angola Duong Chinh Chuc reported to President Luong Cuong some features of the situation in Angola, the results achieved in various aspects of work - political diplomacy, economic diplomacy, cultural diplomacy... and the situation of the Vietnamese community in Angola.
The Ambassador said that the Vietnamese community currently has about 10,000 people living, studying and working in many localities of Angola, including medical experts, educators, private enterprises and workers. The Vietnamese community in Angola lives in solidarity, supports each other, complies with local laws, always looks towards the homeland and country, supports the policies of the Party and State, actively participates in movements launched by the country, especially donations and support for compatriots in areas of natural disasters and floods. However, Vietnamese people also face many difficulties in terms of economy as well as epidemics, insecurity and insecurity. The Vietnamese Embassy, despite its small number of staff, always strives its best, regularly handles a large volume of work, and completes the tasks assigned by the Party, State and people. The Ambassador believes that this visit will create favorable conditions for Vietnam - Angola to promote cooperation in all fields in the coming time.
Representatives of the Vietnamese community in Angola expressed their joy and honor to welcome President Luong Cuong and his wife and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation to Angola; they said that the President's visit is of great significance, a major diplomatic event, contributing to strengthening the good traditional relationship between the two countries, and is also a great source of encouragement for the Vietnamese community in Angola.
The people shared that the Vietnamese community, from experts to traders, workers... always work hard and have been playing an increasingly clear role in the socio-economic development of the host country; always unite, support each other, always preserve Vietnamese traditions and culture, always turn to the Fatherland, and trust in the leadership of the Party and State.
Community representatives also made a number of recommendations and proposals and wished to continue receiving attention from the Party and State to create better conditions to help people feel secure in their work and stabilize their lives.

In a warm atmosphere, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong sent his sincere feelings and best wishes to the entire Vietnamese community living, studying and working in Angola, and to the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy.
The President acknowledged and appreciated the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Angola in promoting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries; highly appreciated the efforts of the Embassy staff in fulfilling their assigned tasks, doing a good job in the work of overseas Vietnamese, making an important contribution to promoting the relations between the two countries.
The President also expressed his appreciation for the contributions of many generations of Vietnamese medical, educational and agricultural experts who have worked and lived in Angola, contributing to building a beautiful image of Vietnam. Despite many difficulties, the team of Vietnamese experts has always joined hands to build Angola.
The President was also pleased to learn that our community in Angola is increasingly stable, united, and oriented towards the homeland and country, serving as a bridge in the Vietnam-Angola friendship; the Vietnamese business community in Angola has also made progress in recent times, contributing to promoting economic exchanges, cooperation, and mutual understanding between the two countries.

Informing the people about the state visit to Angola, a visit of great significance, contributing to strengthening political trust, further deepening the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Angola over the past 50 years, the President said that he had official talks and working sessions with the highest-ranking leaders of Angola, discussing the situation of each country, giving directions to promote bilateral cooperation in traditional fields; at the same time, he asked the high-ranking leaders of Angola to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community, businesses and students to live and work stably in Angola.
At the meeting, the President also informed the community about the country; affirmed that the achievements the country has made demonstrate the high political determination of the Party and State leaders, the efforts of the entire political system, the consensus of the people at home and the joint efforts of our compatriots abroad.
In 2024, economic growth will reach 7.09%, with economic scale ranking in the top 35 in the world and in the top 20 globally in terms of trade. In the first 6 months of 2025, GDP growth will reach 7.52%, striving for over 8% for the whole year, ranking in the top 32 largest economies in the world and in the top 20 in terms of global trade scale; striving to become a developing, modern industrial country with high average income by 2030 and by 2045 becoming a developed, high-income country.
The President affirmed that the consistent policy of the Party and State is to always care for and look after the Vietnamese community abroad; always identify the community as an inseparable part, flesh and blood, an important resource of the nation; actively resolve proposals, problems and difficulties of our overseas compatriots, including a number of policies towards Vietnamese people abroad.

Believing that overseas Vietnamese will continue to promote the tradition of patriotism and preserve cultural identity, the President hopes that they will continue to join hands to build a developed community, live, work and do business in accordance with the law; integrate well into the local society; thereby actively contributing to the development of the host country as well as the friendly relations between Vietnam and Angola.
The President called on the people to join hands and unite with the Party, the State, the political system and the people in the country to overcome all difficulties, turn aspirations into actions, turn potential into practical strength, to together bring our country into a new era - an era of development, wealth and prosperity of the Vietnamese people.
The President also noted that the Vietnamese Embassy in Angola needs to continue to pay attention to and do better work for overseas Vietnamese, support them to integrate well into the local society, unite, develop and become stronger, as well as organize many activities to gather people, especially young people, to participate and turn towards their homeland; continue to actively propagate and implement the Party's resolutions, inspiring overseas Vietnamese in the locality to join in building a prosperous and developed country.
