President To Lam inspects preparations for the funeral of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

Accompanying President To Lam in the inspection delegation were Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc, Deputy Minister of National Defense Le Huy Vinh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army Nguyen Van Nghia, Mr. To An Xo - Assistant to the President, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen and leaders of units.

President To Lam and his delegation inspected important preparations for the funeral, memorial service and burial of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on July 25 and 26.

The grave of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is located on the right side of the Monument of the Fatherland (Mai Dich cemetery), behind the graves of the late General Secretary Le Duan, the late General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, and near the grave of the late Professor - Doctor Nguyen Dinh Tu.

The funeral committee consists of 35 members headed by President To Lam. The remaining members include Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Standing member of the Secretariat Luong Cuong, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung and representatives of departments, ministries and branches.

The funeral organizing committee consists of 27 members, headed by Luong Cuong, Standing Secretary of the Party Central Committee. The two deputy heads are Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Nguyen Duy Ngoc.
