Commending, recognizing and congratulating the collectives and individuals honored at the Congress, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man launched the patriotic emulation movement for the 2025-2030 period of the National Assembly Standing Committee.
Comrade Tran Thanh Man emphasized that it is necessary to strive in the 2025-2030 term for the country to grow by double digits, develop the economy - society, ensure national defense - security, build a political system... To remove difficulties and obstacles, the National Assembly must build legislation, supervise, and decide on important issues of the country. For example, the goal by 2030 - the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Party, our country must become a middle-income country; by 2045 - the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country, our country must be a high-income country. This is a goal that requires the National Assembly to launch a competition, focusing on the next 5 years, including: Competition to effectively implement the National Assembly's innovation activities, in perfecting institutions, building a synchronous, modern, internationally integrated legal system; improving the quality of supervision and deciding on important issues of the country.
In the immediate future, we will actively prepare for and complete the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly; successfully organize the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; organize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the Vietnamese National Assembly; inaugurate the National Assembly Museum, and award the 4th Dien Hong Press Award...
Compete and promote the role and responsibility of National Assembly deputies, be ready to contribute, dare to think, dare to do, dare to innovate, dare to take responsibility, put the common interest above all and truly be a loyal representative of the will and aspirations of the people.
Compete to effectively implement the policy of comprehensive digital transformation in the activities of the National Assembly, building a "Digital National Assembly". Compete to self-study, self-train, improve qualifications and skills, and expand the "Digital Education for All" movement. Ensures that emulation movements are implemented substantially, practically, in accordance with regulations, and linked to the political tasks of each agency, contributing to improving the quality of activities of the National Assembly, National Assembly agencies and National Assembly deputies.
The agencies of the National Assembly, the National Assembly deputies, together with all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers actively responded to and participated in patriotic emulation movements, promoted the spirit of solidarity, discipline, set an example and acted effectively, considering emulation results as one of the important criteria for evaluation, reward and consideration of collective and individual responsibilities.
Emulation is a strategic policy of the Party, an important, regular and continuous task of all levels, sectors, agencies and units. "With the efforts, striving and solidarity of all cadres, National Assembly deputies, cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers, the emulation and reward work and the patriotic emulation movement of the National Assembly in the coming time will certainly have many new successes, creating new and important driving forces, contributing to the innovation process, the cause of building and defending the country" - Comrade Tran Thanh Man believes.
In her closing speech at the Congress, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh stated that, entering the 2025-2030 period, the National Assembly Standing Committee is determined to make emulation a leadership method and rewards a driving force for dedication.
With the spirit of "Emulation is patriotism - rewards are motivation - dedication is glory", the National Assembly Standing Committee will continue to comprehensively innovate emulation and reward work; create motivation, build a professional, scientific, transparent and creative working environment; contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, and build a democratic, rule-of-law, professional and modern Vietnamese National Assembly.
At the Congress, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man awarded the Third Class Independence Medal to former Vice Chairman of the Committee for Culture and Social Affairs Dang Thuan Phong; and the Second Class Labor Medal to former Vice Chairman of the Committee for Science, Technology and Environment Nguyen Thi Le Thuy. National Assembly Standing Vice Chairman Do Van Chien awarded Certificates of Merit of the National Assembly Standing Committee to 5 individuals with outstanding achievements.
The Congress also approved a list of 12 comrades to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
