On the morning of December 1, in Hanoi, the National Political Publishing House Truth held a ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of its traditional day (December 5, 1945 - December 5, 2025) and received the First Class Labor Medal.

Maintain the role as a pioneer in publishing theoretical and political books

On December 5, 1945, Truth Publishing House - the predecessor of the Truth National Political Publishing House, was officially established. After 80 years of construction and development, promoting its role as the theoretical and political publishing agency of the Central Party, the Publishing House has always strived to excellently fulfill its assigned tasks, maintaining its role as the leading flag in publishing theoretical and political books; propagating and protecting the Party's ideological foundation; spreading theoretical and political knowledge throughout society.

In his congratulatory letter, General Secretary To Lam stated: The Truth National Political Publishing House has affirmed and promoted its role as a theoretical and political publishing agency of the Party and State. The series of books published by the Publishing House have made an important contribution to the cause of national liberation, national construction and defense, and served the cause of comprehensive national renewal. Many publications have profound theoretical and practical significance, contributing to improving the Party's leadership and governing capacity, building a clean and strong political system, fostering political ideology for cadres, party members, and people, effectively serving foreign information work, and introducing the image of a peaceful, innovative, integrated, and developing Vietnam.

The General Secretary affirmed that these results are vivid evidence of the sense of responsibility, loyalty to the Fatherland, the Party, the people and revolutionary ideals; at the same time, it is the inheritance and promotion of the precious tradition of the theoretical and political publishing agency with an important position and role in the political and spiritual life of society. The General Secretary expressed his belief that, entering a new era of development - the era of national growth, with the glorious tradition of 80 years of construction and development, the Publishing House will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity to strongly innovate the management model and publishing activities in a professional, humane, modern direction, well adapted to the market mechanism and the tastes of readers in the new era; proactively update new publishing trends in the world; actively apply technology in publishing activities, especially the development of publishing types on digital platforms; Diversify forms of propaganda, widely introduce theoretical, political, legal publications... to improve political level and awareness, and foster revolutionary ideals for cadres, party members and people.

Reviewing the glorious tradition of the Publishing House, Associate Professor, Doctor Vu Trong Lam, Party Secretary, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House, emphasized that over the past 80 years, the Publishing House has not only made its mark in the history of Vietnam's revolutionary publishing, but also become an inseparable part of the ideological history of the Party and the nation, contributing significantly to the formation of the ideological and theoretical foundation, shaping the system of spiritual values ​​and strengthening social trust in the path of national development that the Party, Uncle Ho and our people have chosen.

Speaking at the ceremony, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that after 80 years of construction and development, the Truth National Political Publishing House has increasingly developed, deserving to be a reliable address, a core theoretical and political book publishing agency of the Party and State; absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; united, creative, constantly innovating, and successfully completing all assigned tasks. The Publishing House always affirms its pioneering role on the ideological and theoretical front, contributing to protecting the Party's ideological foundation. Through a system of publications, topics, forums, seminars, scientific discussions and propaganda activities, the Publishing House has proactively oriented public opinion, protected the correctness, revolution and science of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh's thought, fought to defeat the plot to distort, deny the leadership role of the Party, and sabotage the great national unity bloc.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the National Assembly Chairman acknowledged and commended the efforts and warmly congratulated the great achievements that generations of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the Truth National Political Publishing House have achieved over the past 80 years.

Emphasizing that the tasks of the Publishing House in the coming time are very large, demanding but also very glorious, the National Assembly Chairman suggested a number of orientations that need to be focused on and implemented well in the coming time.

Accordingly, the Publishing House continues to strongly innovate the work of editing, publishing, and distributing, ensuring standards, science, modernity - profound in theory but at the same time close and easy to receive. Political theory books must enter life, reach every cadre, party member and people. Continue to improve the quality of publications, ensure scientific and correct political viewpoints, effectively serve the cause of innovation, rapid and sustainable development of the country.

Promoting and improving scientific research, identifying this as a strategic pillar along with editing and publishing, the National Assembly Chairman noted that research must be closely linked to summarizing practices, practices are posing many new and complex theoretical issues, requiring timely, convincing and scientifically based solutions. The publications of the Publishing House must directly contribute to the development of the Party's theory, building a sustainable ideological foundation for our country in the coming period.

To build the Publishing House into a true model of Party building and Party culture, the National Assembly Chairman pointed out that cadres, party members, and employees of the National Political Publishing House of Truth must have the courage and spirit of service; must be steadfast and exemplary in words and actions; and put the interests of the Party, the State, and the people above all else. “Our pen is not only to present viewpoints, but also to fight, protect the Party, protect the regime, and protect the ideological foundation of the Vietnamese revolution against all sabotage and distortion by hostile and reactionary forces. Each page of a book must be an “ideological fence”, each work must be a “theoretical fortress”, convincing with knowledge, science, reason, and truth”, the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.

The National Assembly Chairman also requested to promote comprehensive digital transformation, taking digital transformation as a driving force, creating strong development steps; gradually digitizing, standardizing, expanding the space for knowledge reception to all cadres, party members and people; applying new technology, artificial intelligence, big data to the editing - publishing - archiving - dissemination process; developing a multimedia publishing system, building digital libraries, electronic bookcases, and using them uniformly throughout the Party, the entire political system and society. Political books can be read - listened - viewed - studied on many different digital platforms.

In addition, the Board of Directors and the Party Committee of the Publishing House must be exemplary, truly united, creating motivation, spirit, and aspirations for the entire Publishing House team to rise up; continue to pay attention to promoting the intelligence and practical experience of the team that has been and is contributing to the Publishing House; have policies and mechanisms to better care for the lives of workers. The Truth National Political Publishing House must be a leading publishing house, not only fulfilling its responsibilities to the Party and the State but also rising up to lead the publishing houses and publishing systems in the whole country to become better and better.

The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that 80 years is a glorious journey, but also the starting point for a new journey. Our country has entered a new era of development with the determination and aspiration to build a prosperous, civilized and happy country; to build a truly clean and strong Party; with a solid ideological and cultural foundation.
