At the conference, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of Can Tho City, reported to the voters on the results of the Tenth Session of the 15th National Assembly. Accordingly, this was the last regular session of the 2021-2026 term, held immediately after the successful conclusion of the 13th Conference of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress, aiming to consider and decide on many strategic issues of significant importance to the country's development orientation in the new period.

After 40 days of continuous, urgent, serious, and highly responsible work, the Tenth Session completed all the planned content and programs. The National Assembly passed 51 laws and 8 normative resolutions; summarized the work of state agencies during their term; considered and decided on personnel matters within its authority; and conducted thematic supervision on the implementation of environmental protection policies and laws since the Environmental Protection Law of 2020 came into effect.

In addition, the National Assembly discussed and commented on the draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Party; considered and decided on major issues concerning socio-economic development, the state budget, investment policies for national target programs and important national projects, and adjustments to the National Master Plan; and also reviewed reports on judicial work, anti-corruption efforts, crime prevention, and the resolution of voters' petitions. Legislative work at this session alone accounted for approximately 30% of the total number of laws and resolutions enacted during the entire term.

During the meeting, voters expressed strong agreement with the results of the Tenth Session, acknowledging that the National Assembly had considered and decided on many important and practical issues for the country's development. Voters requested that the Central Committee promptly issue specific guidelines on allowances for officials in the Party, Fatherland Front, and other political and social organizations at the commune level after the implementation of the two-tiered local government model.

Regarding social security policies, voters proposed that the National Assembly consider amending and supplementing the Social Insurance Law to the effect that when a social insurance participant dies, their relatives will receive a lump-sum payment equivalent to the amount contributed, in order to encourage people to participate in social insurance.

Voters also agreed with the policy of implementing the "eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses" program in the past, but reflected on the reality that many disadvantaged households do not meet the eligibility criteria for the program due to legal land issues. Voters suggested that the Government continue to provide appropriate housing support policies for these groups; and at the same time requested the early implementation of several projects, the resolution of compensation policies, resettlement support, and the upgrading of dilapidated roads in the area.
