Binh Dinh Province Chairman will run with 10,000 runners at VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon

Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Chairman Pham Anh Tuan came to receive the Bib on the afternoon of June 9, evaluating the exciting VnExpress Marathon as a local festival.

Before receiving the Bib, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan walked around Nguyen Tat Thanh Square to get a better feel of the atmosphere at VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon 2023. He went to each area, followed the Bib distribution activities, visited the health recovery area, the food court for runners... He also asked the parents and young runners present at the event.

Holding his running shirt in his hand, the provincial chairman said he was "looking forward to the moment of joining 10,000 people on the morning of June 11". He registered for the 5km distance and set a goal of finishing safely and happily. He had participated in a few races before, but did not have much time to practice. "Running is a popular sport , both for health and easy to attract many participants. A beautiful running route like the one in Quy Nhon will bring many emotions to runners", Mr. Tuan said.

During the race, Binh Dinh provincial leaders highly appreciated "VM Sharing" - a program coordinated by VnExpress Marathon and the provincial Red Cross to collect clothes and running gear to support the poor. As of 5 p.m. the same day, dozens of runners had donated clothes, items, running Bibs, and cash to this program. Mr. Pham Anh Tuan also called on provincial leaders to join hands and contribute to helping the poor through "VM Sharing".

Mr. Tuan assessed that after four years of organization, VnExpress Marathon Quy Nhon has changed people's exercise habits, improved their health and raised their spirits. He cited that a few years ago, about 800 people from Binh Dinh registered for the race, this year up to 3,000 people. The activity also promotes the province's tourism industry, especially attracting international visitors.

"I wish 10,000 runners to reach the finish line safely and feel the beauty of the running route in particular and Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh in general," said Mr. Pham Anh Tuan.

Previously, Vice Chairman of Lam Hai Giang Province said that during the event, the province also prepared facilities and human resources, along with preferential discount policies for runners. Specialized departments increased their time at the tourist information desk at Phu Cat airport to provide advice, answer questions, and guide tourists on how to use QR codes, use smart travel apps, and travel advisory leaflets...

The Tourism Association builds new, attractive products and tour programs to attract more and more domestic and foreign tourists to Binh Dinh... Provincial leaders also directed to inspect and handle the situation of overcharging tourists. Mr. Giang said that if done well, the rate of returning visitors will be higher, making tourism one of the key economic sectors.

VnExpress Marathon Sparkling Quy Nhon season 4 will start at 3am on June 11 when the 42km athletes start. The 21, 10, and 5km distances will start at 4am, 4:30am, and 4:45am, respectively. This season has many innovations in the organization, including the application of a system of continuous utility stations on the racetrack to ensure the athletes' support. A completely new sign system is used for navigation and notification.
