Ho Van Mung, alternate member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, delivered a speech at the festival.
Speaking at the event, Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, praised and congratulated the achievements of the Party cell, the Front Committee, mass organizations, and the people of Wards 5, 11, and 12 in Duong Dong district in 2025.
Comrade Ho Van Mung affirmed that national unity is a precious tradition of our people. Over 95 years of formation and development, under the leadership of the Party, the Vietnam National United Front, now the Vietnam Fatherland Front, has upheld the tradition of patriotism and love for the homeland. The strength of national unity has become a decisive factor in the victory of the Vietnamese revolution; bringing peace , independence, and happiness to the people.
According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, the development orientation for the coming time is to make Phu Quoc an international destination, especially in developing tourism and trade.
The selection of Phu Quoc by the Party and State leaders as the venue for the APEC 2027 Summit is a great honor and source of pride for the Provincial Party Committee and the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone. This is an important opportunity to promote the image of the locality to international friends, affirming Phu Quoc as a green, civilized, livable, and promising tourist destination. Therefore, the support and consensus of the people are essential to ensure the timely completion of projects serving APEC 2027.
Chairman of the People's Committee of An Giang province, Ho Van Mung, urged local Party committees, authorities, and the Fatherland Front to expand and promote the spirit of solidarity and consensus among the people through various activities, building community spirit and mutual support, helping each other reduce poverty and achieve legitimate wealth.
