On the afternoon of December 9th, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Lu Quang Ngoi, inspected the progress of the construction project for the Ca Mau General Hospital, which has a capacity of 1,200 beds.

According to a report from the Provincial Construction Project Management Board, the Ca Mau General Hospital Project, with a capacity of 1,200 beds, has a total investment of over 3,300 billion VND and will be implemented in the period 2020-2026 on an area of ​​over 12 hectares. The project includes the main building, specialized treatment areas, a general area, patient accommodation, technical infrastructure systems, and auxiliary facilities. Currently, the various contract packages are being implemented simultaneously; some have been completed, while others are under construction.

After conducting an on-site inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, contractor, and construction workforce in the context of unfavorable weather conditions and a large volume of work.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Lu Quang Ngoi, emphasized: This is a key healthcare project of the province, playing an important role in improving the quality of medical examination and treatment and meeting the healthcare needs of the people of Ca Mau province. Therefore, he requested the Project Management Board and related units to coordinate closely, propose solutions to accelerate progress; increase manpower and machinery, organize overtime work; and at the same time, adhere closely to the plan, ensuring the quality of the project, labor safety and environmental hygiene.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements should be promptly rewarded to motivate and encourage the spirit of construction work - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi proposed.

Workers are actively carrying out construction work on various contract packages, accelerating the progress of the 1,200-bed Ca Mau General Hospital Project.

In addition, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi directed the Project Management Board to focus on implementing several key tasks: Maintaining weekly on-site meetings to promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles; requiring the contractor to supplement equipment and personnel; and requesting the supervision and design consulting units to be present at the site regularly to monitor, supervise, and handle any issues that arise from the outset.
