Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan: Determined to open Nguyen Van Linh Street in 2025

On the afternoon of November 11, comrade Pham Anh Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, chaired a working session to resolve difficulties and obstacles related to the Nguyen Van Linh Road project and the Nguyen Van Linh Residential Area Technical Infrastructure Project. The working session was held in person at Dien Hong Ward and connected online to the bridge at the Provincial People's Committee headquarters (Quy Nhon Ward) with the participation of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tu Cong Hoang; leaders of relevant departments, branches, units and localities.

At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested relevant units to focus on removing each bottleneck, especially compensation, site clearance and resettlement. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned relevant sectors to urgently review all legal documents and classify each specific case to ensure compensation is in accordance with regulations, fair, public and transparent.

Regarding the Nguyen Van Linh road project, comrade Pham Anh Tuan has proposed solutions based on the actual recommendations of the people. Regarding compensation, relevant sectors need to study and rearrange resettlement locations commensurate with the value of the current land location; it is possible to consider converting agricultural land area into suitable residential land. Regarding resettlement land prices, specialized agencies are required to issue them in accordance with the prices of existing resettlement areas in the area.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan also noted that the two wards of Dien Hong and Hoi Phu need to increase dialogue to listen to the opinions and thoughts of the people, especially the households directly affected, clearly explain the benefits of the project, commit to properly implementing the policy, help people understand that they are the first to benefit, thereby feeling secure and agreeing.

In addition, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested that departments and branches continue to review policies to best support people in each specific case; specifically review each type of land; and make a comprehensive plan to systematically arrange residential areas.

Comrade Pham Anh Tuan also requested the relevant sector to direct construction units to concentrate human resources and machinery to organize construction as soon as the site is available. The general spirit is not to delay any further, determined to open Nguyen Van Linh Street in 2025, creating the premise for synchronous implementation of residential infrastructure along the route.

Previously, at noon on November 11, the working delegation of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan inspected the construction progress of the Nguyen Van Linh road project. Here, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee met and listened to the thoughts and aspirations of affected households in the project area, which are currently not in agreement.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan affirmed: The Nguyen Van Linh road project and the technical infrastructure of Nguyen Van Linh residential area have important significance in urban beautification and expansion of development space. Therefore, speeding up the construction progress while ensuring the harmony of interests for the people is a constant requirement.

The local government is calculating to resolve the issue based on the spirit of doing what is most beneficial for the people. Therefore, it is hoped that households will understand, agree, and strictly comply with the State's regulations.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan requested households to agree on the approved compensation price. The competent authority will issue appropriate resettlement prices. When building infrastructure, it must be accompanied by rearranging residential areas and the State's compensation policy is very clear. Therefore, based on the previous compensation policy of Gia Lai province (old), the province continues to review to ensure the best benefits for households, especially those with large areas of land that must be recovered and rearranged.

“The completion of the Nguyen Van Linh road project cannot be delayed any longer. The remaining households in the project area must comply with the relocation to clear the land for road construction first, then take the next steps for the Nguyen Van Linh Residential Area Technical Infrastructure Project. If any household does not comply with the relocation to build the road, enforcement will be carried out when the conditions are met according to regulations” - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan emphasized.
