Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Lau works with the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board

STO - On the morning of May 6, Mr. Tran Van Lau - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province had a working session with the Management Board of Industrial Parks (IPs) of the province to resolve difficulties and problems in state management of IPs in the province. Also attending were leaders of provincial departments and branches.

In the first quarter of 2025, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board issued a new investment registration certificate for 1 project, adjusted the investment registration certificate for 2 projects, and announced the termination of investment activities for 2 projects. Up to now, it has granted investment policies and investment registration certificates (still valid) to 64 investment projects (including 6 foreign-invested projects) with a total registered investment capital of VND 8,896.2 billion (of which FDI capital is VND 2,207 billion); the implemented investment capital is VND 8,320.8 billion (FDI capital is VND 2,169 billion), reaching 93.5% of the total registered investment capital.

According to the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, the revenue of An Nghiep Industrial Park enterprises in the first quarter of 2025 was VND 5,075 billion (of which FDI enterprises were VND 902.8 billion), an increase of 12.9% over the same period in 2024. The industrial production value in the first quarter of 2025 was VND 3,201.8 billion (of which FDI enterprises were VND 699 billion), an increase of 12.9% over the same period, reaching 19.4% compared to the assigned plan target in 2025 (VND 16,500 billion). The value of industrial export turnover in the first quarter of 2025 was VND 134.6 billion, an increase of 2% over the same period. The total estimated tax payments in the first quarter of 2025 were VND 247.7 billion, a decrease of 5.7% over the same period. During the quarter, the Industrial Park Infrastructure and Services Center (a public service unit under the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board) collected nearly VND 1.5 billion in technical infrastructure usage fees from industrial park enterprises (reaching 18% of the 2025 revenue estimate).

Concluding the meeting, comrade Tran Van Lau requested the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board to continue focusing on planning and construction of industrial parks, calling for investment in construction projects and business of industrial park infrastructure... Regarding provincial departments and branches, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested to coordinate with the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board to completely resolve difficulties and problems at the Industrial Park Infrastructure and Service Center in accordance with legal regulations, in order to maximize revenue efficiency, effectively serving the operations of enterprises in An Nghiep Industrial Park.
