VFF President sends special message to Vietnam national team

(Dan Tri) - VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan requested the Vietnamese team to have the highest concentration for the remaining matches in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.

On November 12, VFF President Tran Quoc Tuan met and encouraged the Vietnam national team, currently training in Viet Tri ( Phu Tho ) to prepare for the away match against Laos in the second leg of the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.

The head of VFF praised the spirit and efforts of the players during the recent intense competition period in the V-League, and acknowledged the professionalism of the entire team in maintaining stable physical strength and form to quickly integrate with the national team.

Mr. Tuan especially congratulated striker Nguyen Xuan Son for his complete recovery after a long period of injury treatment and his readiness to return to contribute to the national team. In his previous statement, Xuan Son affirmed that he could play a full match and expressed his desire to play in the upcoming match against Laos.

Regarding the goal of the Vietnamese team in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, Mr. Tuan emphasized that coach Kim Sang Sik and his team need to maintain the highest concentration and determination in the remaining matches of the qualifiers, holding on to the opportunity until the end in the race for tickets to the 2027 Asian Cup finals.

The VFF President hopes that the Vietnamese team will continue to assert its position in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers, first of all in the away match against Laos on November 19. The matches are not only significant in terms of achievements but also an important opportunity to improve the position on the FIFA rankings, thereby enhancing the team's brand and creating an advantage in the group stage draws at official international tournaments.

Regarding the preparation of the Vietnamese team, on the afternoon of November 12, coach Kim Sang Sik and his team had their second training session in Phu Tho. Defender Xuan Manh said that because the V-League schedule had just ended, half of the team had to practice at the hotel on November 11 to recover their physical strength.

However, by today the Vietnamese team's strength is almost full and the team has begun tactical training sessions.

Talking about the very important return of striker Xuan Son, Xuan Manh shared: “Xuan Son always brings positive energy to the whole team. He always smiles and inspires his teammates.”
