Mr. Tran Viet Tan, Vice President of the Vietnam Advertising Association and Chairman of the Board of Directors of VINAMA Media Joint Stock Company, shared his thoughts on this new trend.

LED 5G - telling brand stories through light and emotion.

- In the context of technology transforming the entire landscape of media, 5G LED is considered a revolution in OOH (Out-of-Home) communication. What makes this technology so special, sir?


I see 5G LED not just as a medium of communication, but as a vibrant space to tell brand stories through light and emotion.

5G LED technology isn't about the display itself, but about its ability to transform static messages into dynamic, instantly updated, real-time interactive experiences that can be measured by data. Each LED frame is a heartbeat of the city, where brands not only appear but also blend into the urban rhythm.

At Vinama, we've always believed that: "Technology can create light, but only emotion gives that light a soul."

Vinama currently owns over 200 5G LED locations in central areas of Ho Chi Minh City. What is the strategy for expanding the coverage of the 5G LED system?

When we choose locations, it's not simply about being "beautiful" or "expensive." We choose places with a vibrant atmosphere and a story. From Le Duan and Ton Duc Thang streets to Bach Dang Wharf… each location is connected to the spirit of the city.

I want 5G LEDs to be more than just advertising; I want them to be an integral part of the modern urban landscape, where people can feel the vibrant energy, movement, and aesthetics of a smart city.

That's why Vinama always invests heavily in design, brightness, projection angle, and overall visual experience so that each LED screen doesn't strain the eyes, but instead contributes to beautifying public spaces.

Vinama's 5G LED system has appeared in many effective product launch campaigns.

- Many major brands have now chosen Vinama's 5G LED system. In your opinion, what factors lead brands to choose and commit to it long-term?

I think it's a convergence in communication philosophy. Modern brands no longer want to "speak loudly," but rather "speak correctly"—in the right context, at the right time, and with the right emotion.

Vinama's 5G LEDs offer flexible display capabilities, real-time reach measurement, and even track viewer behavior through data. But above all, we provide a storytelling media platform where brands are seen, felt, and remembered.

"The golden opportunity" for Vietnam's advertising industry to transform.

- Besides the newly invested 5G LED system, is Vinama one of the few OOH businesses pioneering Drowshow and 3D Mapping technology in Vietnam?

5G LED is the display platform, while Drowshow and 3D Mapping are the storytelling languages ​​in space that are being implemented early.
While drone light shows create a collective experience where thousands of people admire, are moved by, and remember the brand through emotion, 3D mapping transforms architecture, walls, and water surfaces into vibrant canvases, making the brand message artistic and authentic.

Vinama doesn't chase technology; instead, it aims to create humanistic value, convenience, and effectiveness for its brand, linking three elements: green, clean, and interactive. All of this saves energy, reduces light pollution, and opens up spaces for people to interact, take photos, and share. Only when technology touches human emotions does it truly have value.

- In your opinion, will 5G LED, Drowshow, and 3D Mapping become the "new standard" for outdoor advertising in Vietnam in the future?

Today's people want to experience and share, not just see. Drowshows, 3D mapping, and 5G LED displays will create a powerful visual and emotional impact, easily spreading on social media. If 5G LED systems are the lighting of the city, then Drowshows and 3D mapping are the lighting of community emotions, connecting technology with the hearts of the audience.

When technology blends with emotions, when advertising spreads value, and each brand speaks with kindness—that's when the Vietnamese media industry truly matures.
