The Department of Tourism forecasts that the total number of visitors to An Giang during the two holidays commemorating Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), and International Labor Day (May 1) will reach over 930,000, a 14% increase compared to the same period in 2025, including more than 65,000 international visitors, a 43% increase. Along with the opportunities come significant pressure on infrastructure, services, and destination management. Therefore, the provincial tourism industry is proactively coordinating with localities and businesses to implement comprehensive solutions to ensure the best possible service for tourists, while maintaining the image of a safe, friendly, and attractive destination.
Firstly, the Department of Tourism requests that localities, tourist areas, attractions, and tourism businesses in the province prepare well to serve tourists during the holiday period. At the same time, they should coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to organize many unique cultural, artistic, and culinary activities to meet the needs of tourists for sightseeing, entertainment, and recreation during the holiday.
Travel agencies are developing and introducing many tour programs and itineraries to suit the needs of tourists during the holiday season. Tourism service businesses are also implementing many promotional programs and service incentives to increase attractiveness and encourage tourists to stay and experience An Giang longer. Tourist areas and attractions in the province are proactively upgrading facilities, improving the environmental landscape, and adding new tourism products to enhance service quality and offer more attractive options for tourists visiting An Giang.
Simultaneously, the provincial tourism industry has also intensified its efforts in disseminating information, promoting, and advertising the province's destinations, events, and tourism activities through various media channels, contributing to spreading the image of An Giang as a friendly and attractive tourist destination to a wide range of visitors from within and outside the province.

An Giang aims to become an international-class coastal and island tourism destination, a green tourism center for the region, developing sustainably and community-based, while strongly promoting the historical, cultural values and unique characteristics of each tourism space in accordance with the province's five socio-economic zones. Among these, Phu Quoc plays the role of an international growth pole and a driving force for the entire province. Ha Tien strives to become a national tourism area by 2030.
