Liquidity has not increased and partly due to profit-taking pressure after the previous increase, the index fluctuated strongly around the reference level. At the end of today's trading session (November 13), VN-Index closed at 1,631.44 points, down slightly by 0.42 points, equivalent to -0.03%.
Buyers and sellers continuously took turns influencing the index. VN-Index reversed continuously. The index's fluctuation range was not too large, the difference between the highest point of the session (1,638.98 points) and the lowest point (1,625.94 points) was only about 14 points, but it fluctuated continuously.

Liquidity has not recovered, even slightly decreased after yesterday's increase. Trading volume on HoSE decreased by 7% while trading value was over VND21,700 billion, a slight decrease of 1.8%. Market breadth was not too large, HoSE recorded 163 stocks increasing and 138 stocks decreasing.
VN30 had fewer codes increasing in price with 13 codes, while there were 15 codes decreasing in price. This group was the factor that had a significant impact on the index when it decreased by 0.43%, while VNMID only decreased by 0.01% and VNSML went in the opposite direction, increasing by 0.36%.
All industry groups recorded differentiation in cash flow with codes receiving buying power while codes had slight downward adjustments.
Notably, VN30 recorded a stock that suddenly increased to the ceiling price, DGC. This stock was purple from the beginning of the day and with a 6.95% increase, DGC closed at 100,000 VND/share, returning to the price range it lost last August. Trading volume at DGC increased dramatically with liquidity 6 times higher than the average of previous sessions.
This breakthrough comes after the information that the large-scale public works, school and housing complex project of Duc Giang Chemical Group in Duc Giang - Viet Hung area has just been approved by the Hanoi People's Committee for investment policy. The project has a total investment of approximately 4,500 billion VND, all from Duc Giang's own capital. The project implementation period is from 2025 to 2030.
On the other pillar stocks side, good gains were recorded from VBM (+3.34%) and 4 other stocks increased by over 1% including GAS, GVR, BCM and PLX. The increase in the pillar stocks group was not too high and the role of supporting the index was shifted to the group of lower-sized stocks such as GMD, HAH, PNJ, along with GEE and PVD all hitting the ceiling.
Today, the common stocks that have a big impact on the index, the Vin group, had less impact, mainly due to the small fluctuations. VIC, although increasing during the session, cooled down by the end of the day and closed at the reference level.
Liquidity in large-cap stocks decreased significantly. Trading volume decreased by more than 20% while trading value decreased by only more than 6%. Foreign investors turned to sell more than VND414 billion in this group, accounting for nearly 42% of net selling value on HoSE.
Of which, the group of foreign investors sold the most in STB and net sold more than 400 billion VND, and also sold heavily in 2 stock codes VCI (-223 billion VND) and VIX (-129 billion VND). On the contrary, foreign investors still bought more than 200 billion VND in bothFPT and VNM and net bought more than 100 billion VND in TCB and PVD.
The industry groups still recorded positive results today, with some groups increasing by more than 2% such as: Oil and gas, chemicals, auto parts and telecommunications. On the contrary, the groups with the strongest decline were information technology and financial services, however the decline was not too large with a decrease of about 1%.
With the index closing at a low range, the session on November 13 was generally a balanced session. Today, the positive point is that the purchases from the increase on November 11 returned to investor accounts, but the selling pressure was not strong enough to put much pressure on the index. Investors are still waiting for more positive supporting information.
