Caring for the vulnerable.

According to Mr. Trinh Ngoc Hiep, Deputy Director of the Department of Health , during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, the entire province allocated tens of billions of VND from the state budget to carry out social assistance activities for the poor, social welfare beneficiaries, the elderly, children with special difficulties, and other vulnerable groups. Among them, 116 centenarians received congratulatory cards from the President of Vietnam, and 1,294 centenarians received gifts from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. These cards and gifts reflect the nation's tradition of "respecting the elderly and valuing longevity," and are also wishes for long life and peace, serving as a bond connecting generations within each family and community.

In accordance with Resolution No. 16/2025 of the Provincial People's Council stipulating the support regime for the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, the Liberation Day of the South (April 30), International Labor Day (May 1), National Day (September 2), New Year's Day, and Lunar New Year in the province, during the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, nearly 20,000 people in the province, including the blind, poor households, people with disabilities, social work collaborators, village health workers, etc., received support of 400,000 VND per person. In addition, 527 social beneficiaries being cared for at social assistance facilities in the province received additional food allowances for the four days of Tet, at a rate of 100,000 VND per person per day. In particular, implementing Government Resolution No. 418/2025 on giving gifts from the Party and State to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 to people with meritorious services to the revolution, social welfare beneficiaries, social pensioners and other vulnerable groups, more than 88,000 people in the province received support with a total budget of over 35.2 billion VND.

Timely policies and meaningful gifts have been and continue to reach disadvantaged people in the province ahead of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026. This not only demonstrates the profound concern of the Party and the State for the lives of the people, but also contributes to spreading the spirit of "mutual support and compassion" in the community, giving people more motivation to enter the new year with faith and hope.
