I grew up in Ho Chi Minh City and have so many memories of this city. Therefore, I think "The Country Full of Joy" is both an easy and difficult topic to compose. Because writing well is not easy. However, I believe I will have a work that satisfies the audience. I also hope that from this campaign, there will be many new compositions that create "hits" about Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the city's 50 years of living in peace .

The songwriting campaign of the Lao Dong Newspaper is a good campaign. Not only in Ho Chi Minh City but also across the country, many localities have also launched songwriting campaigns on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and the reunification of the country.

I have completed the song "Nguoi Sai Gon - Ho Chi Minh City" and will write more works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of our country's reunification.

Creative inspiration from workers

This is an opportunity for me to reminisce about my decades in Ho Chi Minh City. During those difficult days, I collaborated with the Liberation Workers Newspaper - the predecessor of the Labor Newspaper. I went to the workers in the factories and plants in the city to understand their thoughts, and from there I composed many songs for the workers in the city.

Everyone has joined hands to build Ho Chi Minh City into what it is today. I submitted my work "Spring Aspiration" to respond to the songwriting campaign "The Country is Full of Joy" organized by the Lao Dong Newspaper.

Our Lac Viet group was recently assigned by musician Nguyen Van Hien to perform the song "Aspiration for Spring" which he composed. The musician told us that this is a new song, so we should try to perform it in a lively way, to make the listeners excited, to transmit positive energy, and to look forward to a brighter tomorrow.

I think we need more new songs to update about the development and beauty of Ho Chi Minh City in the new era. Hopefully the creative campaign of Nguoi Lao Dong Newspaper will have songs about this content.
